One thing I don't understand. Why is the PS4 delayed but not the PC? The PC is competition as well to the Xbox.

There IS NO PS4 version. All of the "PS4 coming later" is merely rumor and speculation.

As for TitanFall, I'll wait for reviews before jumping in. I have two XBONEs on pre-order and was planning on keeping one, but nothing really interests me at launch. I might unload em both and pick one back up around the time that TitanFall drops (lol).

It's EA. Of course they'll want to get you on Origin for such a big game.

Since it's being published by EA, likely Origin only.

The difference is Dice is actually owned by EA, while Respawn is published under something called EA Partners.

Publishing under that arm of EA allows them to keep control of the IP and self-publish the game. The majority of EA Partners games are available on Steam.

I'm still hoping for Steam. I have enough shooters though already that I can pass if it's on Origin. Play some more PS2.

I think its a bad idea to release them all at the same time.

Bad for MS, less so for EA.

A simultaneous March launch basically means EA gets to reap the full benefit of the sales of the game within the fiscal year, and proclaim Titanfall a major success.

Besides, a later launch would pit it neck-to-neck against Destiny, which is another major online title.

PC community is always so under-appreciated. To me, the PC community has always been the community with the longest legs and dedication for their games, less of the console community. ( no offense )

Console communities never felt like one -- you're always playing with a bunch of randoms, or playing against randoms with a few friends. The "server where everyone knows your name" is hard to come by but a few exist, and it sucks that they don't let something like that happen w/ consoles. MS should be able to do soemthing similar to MK7's communities if they're hosting all the games on their servers, something properly implemented that allows me to play with and AGAINST a good group of folks would be highly appreciated.

CBoAT mentioned one year exclusivity and I'm sure that suits everyone just fine. Going forward is tougher to call, if it's as successful as Gears, MS will undoubtedly attempt to lock it down somehow and we'll be back to guessing when/if it's coming to PS4...

I obviously meant after reading the rules. They'd know that port begging would get them banned but they wouldn't necessarily know what actually counts as port begging and what doesn't. Especially since all junior bans are permanent, I think?

Anyway, I wouldn't know that, I haven't been banned once lol!

If they can get a few years out of it like Gears, MS will throw some cash at it. While not everyone likes exclusives, they are pretty good for pushing developers to make cool stuff.

I could see MS attempting to pull something like that for Titanfall, especially after all the acclaim, awards, etc it's received. I'm sure ti will appear on PS4 as per CBoAT's mention, but it wouldn't surprise me if MS attempted to lock it down in as a MS platform/PC exclusive.

I still wish we got Gears 2 and 3 on PC. Titanfall is probably a week 1 buy for me on PC though.

Basically, if it isn't announced for a platform, it's not good to go around going "I can't wait to play this on <unannounced platform>!" It's silly.

Instead, say it to yourself at home. I do it for PC. "Damn I wish...well, maybe someday."

And there's really nothing stopping Sony from trying to persuade EA from bringing Titanfall to PS4 either. EA would love both companies throwing money at their faces.

Either way, I personally don't think this is a good direction for this thread. I feel that talking about the status of the game's exclusivity and whether or not it'll remain exclusive is only going to lead the discussion into a murky, muddy area.

It's only been announced for Microsoft platforms, and right now 'PC' means you need to run it on Windows - which last time I checked is a Microsoft platform.

So yeah, what's the deal with the campaign and multiplayer again? Respawn said that there is no single player and only multiplayer right? So is this going to be like "Brink"?

(Don't know how many of you played Brink but basically every multiplayer match was part of the overall story and included a short opening and closing cutscene)

If it is like "Brink" I think that'll be ok, but I really hope they have some regular team deathmatch without the story. Otherwise they're just unnecessarily burdening the multiplayer with a story that a lot of people might not care for.

Well, we don't know if they are fibbing or not but Vince said that it isn't on PS4 because they are new and so are a small team and they can't do all platforms at once and that it would be too much to ask.

Obviously the 360 version is outsourced, maybe they could have outsourced to a third studio for the PS3 or PS4 but don't forget to EA it is an unknown. The thing could bomba. It probably won't given the hype around it - but before it was shown they have no way of knowing if it is worth risking putting 50 studios onto the project to make 50 versions for every platform out there.

It makes good business sense what they've done.

Dislike CoD because its just sprinting around shooting/stabbing. Its the arena style that I got bored of after Quake 3 appeared. Titanfall looks way more interesting due to mobility and the addition of mechs.

Well, I don't like Cod, but am interested in Titan Fall. Because of the mechs, and the wall running, and all those things that give it more fantasy than a regular war simulator.
