Honestly I really can't tell when I'm playing a 1080p/720p on my 50" plasma from normal distance. It's not like a pc at all where you're a foot away at most.

That being said the fact the ps4 at 100 bucks less can run a game a 1080p and the xbox 1 can't is pretty hilarious. It says a lot about the power difference and/or ease of development.

I can tell like a motherfucker. I sit a comfortable distance from a 73in screen and 720 looks like straight trash compared to 1080. I just hope that MS tries harder to get their exclusives up to 1080 eventually. All of my multiplats will be PC/PS4 but I'd appreciate if my 180 exclusives didn't cut my eyeballs!

Maybe it's the game engine that is the problem running on the Xbone. They are using iD Tech 5 with that "endless" texture resolution running in OpenGL right? Maybe the XBone isn't powerful enough for it. This doesn't mean that other graphics engines won't run better on the XBone (i.e. TitanFall, Ryse, and BF4).

In any case, this will not go away if the rumors are true...nope
