New Xbox One Rumors: PS4 PSN > XBL, snap crashes games, ES RAM life long bottleneck

This is not surprising after seeing the initial quality of the Xbox 360 hardware. After sending the fourth one back in a coffin, I made the decision not to invest in a Microsoft software ecosystem again.

I sincerely hope there is not a repeat of the RRoD fiasco. Players deserve better than that.

Wasn't this covered in the megathread from last night? The snap stuff was probably buried in there but I thought it was all covered already.

Competition is awesome, but am I alone that I'm actually starting to worry there's not gonna be much of a competition this time around? :(

If true, PSN being better than XBL is unacceptable. MS had a great thing and messed up there too? smh

This stuff should all go into one thread.
MS should get their shit together (and i think they will)
Nobody wants a dominant and arrogant Sony again.

ESRAM sounds damning, but I'm not concerned about snap causing crashes at this stage. It is a software development project after all, and we don't if it's all apps or just a few.

What this situation needs is some media outlets to get hands-on time with a retail box over a few days so we can get an idea of the true extent of the issues rather than a few words being, potentially, blown out of proportion.

II. Expected Behavior

NeoGAF is a forum for holding civil, evidence-based discussion. Do not post disingenuously, or in an inflammatory manner for the sole purpose of upsetting others. Negative commentary and minority opinions are not frowned upon, but members are expected to be able to substantiate their positions. At the same time, do not derail threads around yourself or attempt to respond to every single reaction among dozens after posting a comment that is reacted to severely en masse.

Anything but civil....

The eSRAM is so clearly not the bottleneck.

There's a clear GPU disparity, but the eSRAM won't be a big issue for long.

I've said it before and I'll say it again,

They'll limp it along for a year or two if possible and move the Cloud experience that was leaked in the documents forward to end of 2014, early 2015. They'll probably jump the Fortaleza Glasses with the cloud.
