I swear I picked up Xbone being missing from another FDSU in my local Tesco (COD) the other day, but didn't think anything of it. But maybe it was the Ass Creed FDSU I'm thinking about? Oh god, I don't know.
Don't take my word for it, I'm tired and my mind could be playing tricks on me. I'll check tomorrow if I get a chance, or someone else could. They have them in most superstores.
If I'm wrong then that's at least a good sign.

I honestly chalked it up to , eh maybe MS are still being super secretive with the One's logo licensing or didn't have it finalised by printing and thought 'I don;t want to cause a fanboy shitstorm by posting drivel' and left it. It was only the comment about it AC4 above that reminded me I had it on my phone.

And on the Xbox side we have far greater uniformity that the problems are deeper?

If MS actually wanted to put the doubters to rest, they could march their console in front of the press in a live press conference, and show any fucking thing they wanted on the screen while doing the live UI demo. They could do all the kinds of things Sony had the balls to do TWO MONTHS AGO, live at Gamescom.
The press could stream the live video, because under the doctrine of Fair Use and the protections of the 1st Amendment, the types of "licensing issues" Albert Penello is attempting to hide behind DO NOT EXIST FOR THE PRESS.
If they are so absolutely confident that their UI isn't a crash-fest, they could rent a hotel ballroom and conduct this press conference in a matter if hours. But no, they aren't doing that.
Instead, MS is choosing to make laughable excuses why they can't show the UI, and must show the pre-baked "representation" instead. And you are jumping through hoops to defend him and being rude to fellow GAFers for what, exactly?
Please, respond to this post. I want to hear why MS can't do the above and why you are here defending them.

I took this weeks ago when the promo stands for AC4 appeared in (UK) stores and never posted it as I couldn't be sure of any significance. I still don't think there is any, but your post reminded me of this... note the missing logo, heh.
Has this even happened with a multiplatform game? The publisher not even including one of the platforms? I'm confused, why would they do that?

Only thing that would make sense is that those posters were printed before the xbox one reveal. During that period where the ps4 had been announced and the Xb1 not revealed yet trailers used to end with a similar screen.

They have some great looking launch titles, but let them burn if this is their long term plans. It's not surprising, though. I'll be damned if I want them influencing the gaming industry with any more of this shit that has nothing to with, you know, gaming.

I think it would be worthwhile having a quick scan, but I have a feeling we will get some more substantial contributions in the near future. It just feels like everything is escalating, and the jsreicher comment about it all kicking off made it sound like the press are finally getting engaged in the discussion.
