Although a lot of people didn't like it and though it was just average I thought it was amazing and awesome.

And I love when they sneak clever things into the packaging like that.
 
OKAY FOLKS, LITTLE HELP:

I've only seen the first movie, but I really liked. I only saw a couple of months back on Bluray. I don't know why I waited so long, since I like J.Depp movies and all..

Anyway, my wife has seen the frst and second parts and ansolutely loves them both.


So, should I buy the complete set in Bluray? Is one even out? I've seen the first two at the store.. but is a box set out for Bluray?

If so, would it be worth buying?
 
terrible, terrible movie.

At least some of the Dead Man's Chest was fun, this movie dragged on and on, was confusing and boring. I want my 8.50 back!

the movies really drop off after the 1st one, but the PQ/AQ is great so id recommend picking them all up, but the 2nd and 3rd movies are pretty disappointing compared to the 1st

Except since the first two movies are AWESOME, no, you're wrong.

I enjoyed the third as well, but it was flawed.

The 2nd is my favorite btw. Such a great flick.
 
Loved it, and the last half had a true epic feel to it.
Yes it could have done without the Callisto giant thing, but it was not a deal breaker for me.
It was darker than I think most expected and wanted, but I think it fit perfectly.
 
The second movie is one of the worst blockbusters I've ever seen. So boring and horrible and ultimately pointless.

This movie is pretty damn good.
 
Was better than Spider-Man 3... but that doesn't say a whole fucking lot, now does it?

one was good, two was mediocre ( i found it hard to watch a second time).. three was just a mess.
 
shame, could've been a decent franchise since it was known to be a trilogy. I never "got" these movies anyway, although 1 was enjoyable. 2 and 3 confused me to no end, a bunch of twisted stuff. Maybe I'd appreciate it more if I spent a day just watching all three in a row (not on DVD though).
 
I enjoyed PotC3 and PotC2, hell...I would actually see a PotC4 if they made it. For me the original PotC awesome and the other two are good by association.

however, if they make Shrek 4, I would seriously be ticked off, the Shrek movies suck ass.

How in the world did 2 confuse you?

I understand 3 completely, but 2 was really simply to follow.

What? The first two are awesome.

I'm pretty sure they were both critically acclaimed too.

But 3 was pretty lame.

And you're gonna be mad, as they planned 3 + 4 after 2 came out.

I thought the first Shrek was only alright, the second one was pushing it, but the third was the worst movie of 2007...and I am somewhat pissed that they are gonna make a 4th movie.

Name one you thought was worse than Shrek 3 and I might consider it better. Shrek 3 was seriously the worst time I spent in a movie theater in a long time, unlike Spiderman 3 which was funny in a bad way, Shrek 3 was just shit bad. I feel bad for those that payed to see the movie, I only went because there was a deal going on.

Yea, Shrek 3 was pretty dreadful, particularly if you've already seen the other 2. Rehash total.

actually it didn't, I just hastily wrote that. I have no idea what happened in 2 so I was lost in 3. I just bundled them together.
 
The problem with At World's End was it took itself too seriously. What made the first movie so great is that it hit the perfect balance between comedy and action.
 
I thought it was great. A good trilogy.

I see movies for free, though, so I don't know how much my opinion matters.
 
I liked the 1st one. 2nd was decent, 3rd was pretty terrible but eh. I didn't expect much so I had fun watching them.

I have not watched Spiderman 3 yet... kinda afraid to after hearing everybody say it's shit, lol.

Unless you're a movie buff, it's not bad at all. I'm a casual movie-goer and enjoyed it. Found it absolutely hilarious, but I'm not entirely sure if that's what they were going for?
 
Got it on Blu-ray, watched it, still think it's an excellent movie with tons of enjoyable sequences. I can understand why some don't like it, sure, but for me I'm a huge adventure movie fan and Pirates, all three, give me that particular fix in more ways than one.
 
1 was so good there was bound to be some drop off in quality in the sequels. but 2 and 3 are still far from crap, both enjoyable films. just not ones you'll be watching again and again like the first one.

I thought it was the best in the trilogy, easily. Rousing finale, unexpected (and to me, unexpectedly moving) end to the Elizabeth story arc.
 
Terrible crap movie with worthless, too long opening segment, sub-plots that went nowhere, one of the most throw away villains in cinema history, and just a complete trainwreck of a storyline. There were good bits mixed in sure, but even the Depp moments ran too long for me, and he's one of my favorite actors. Dead Man's Chest was clunky... this movie I wish I could erase from my mind. Keith Richards was great, but that's not enough to save the film for me.

I'm still so damn annoyed that the main villain
broke his agreement with Jack EVEN THOUGH HE HAD NOTHING TO GAIN BY IT! Seriously, if he's going to wipe out all the pirates, what would letting one little ship go even matter? Plus, he's the leader of the fleet... he doesn't sail in first! What the hell were they thinking?
