Yoshida has said in the past that he's not going to tell people that there will be a surprise because it's no longer a surprise if they're expecting it. It's like watching a horror movie with someone and then they lean over and say "Hey, there's a real good scare coming up".

Sometimes it's okay to get your expectations up. But also be realistic with them. Don't expect something like Persona 5 when you know that Atlus has an event scheduled on the 24th, which is very likely when they'll announce P5.

A Gears of War revival revealed on PS4 launch day would be insanity.

Mark Rein really needs to take some subtlety lessons. I think Epic showing a PS4 game next Thursday is almost a lock at this point. I would be very, very surprised to see another Gears Of War game. The franchise is a bit tired and needs a few years off stage.
