Not necessarily. We all know that Sony invests in their internal studios. But there is a point at which those studios are working at full capacity and within constraints of a designated budget. At that point, its not unreasonable for them to invest dollars in external studios. While I'm not privy to the inner-workings of those deals, we do know that they work with external studios.

according to insiders there are at least 5 Third party exclusives set up including at least 1 really big game for the Western market

Slightly off topic... I'm kicking myself now. I had an extra PS4 Launch console pre-ordered at Amazon.com that I just canceled because I didn't need it and thought it would be a pain in the ass to sell with all the competition on Ebay. I go into Game Stop today and the Sales Associate tells me that he has already had 5 guys tell him they will be waiting in the parking lot on release night with 2 grand in their pockets hoping to convince someone to sell their console.

FML. The Associate advised I pick it up at Midnight because there will be less vultures looking to swoop in an buy the system off of you. They also will escort you to your call if you ask them to. They wont do that during the day.

I just have one request. Please have Kazuo Hirai make an appearance for the launch of the PS4. The PS4 launch still feels hallow to me without at least ONE (even brief) appearance from the legendary boss of the Playstation. Perhaps I should tweet this to Yosp?

3rd Party exclusives, surely that would be DLC exclusives? its still a positive if so, would be lethal if the speculation was true on Epic bringing a full exclusive :)

Yeah dude, it was pretty much a given that there would be people trying to buy them out of fear that they wouldn't be able to get it later. I'm still thinking of selling mine around Black Friday, hopefully to pay for a Wii U.
