So a little birdie (Twitter!) tells me that PS4 units have begun shipping to consumers in the US from online stores.

With the number of people here that have pre-ordered surely one will get an early shipment. If you have post it here so we can all live vicariously!

Wouldn't that screw up midnight launches for certain retailers? I doubt they would keep the street date if someone else breaks it.

I am hoping I can get UPS to hold my shipment at the distribution center town instead of delivering it. I am also hoping that if they hold it, that it gets there Thursday evening and they'll let me pick it up after I get off work. It's good to have dreams. But if that doesn't work, 9 am Friday is cool too.

UPS doesn't deliver to my place until (sometimes) as late as 6:00 PM. Has anyone ever tried the "Hold for Pick-up" option? It says they deliver it to a Customer Service location of your choice by 8:30 a.m. on the scheduled day of delivery.

I am getting my console shipped to work. Going to go home at lunch and not return. My friend here who also preordered is buddies with the UPS guy. The man in brown is going to come to our suite first thing and drop off our PS4s so around 9:30AM for me. Won't be able to play until 1:30 or so though. Going to be a long week.

Yup, I did this with my wife's bday present, a Kindle Fire last year. There was a processing center like 10 miles from me and I picked it up there at lunch.

I have Friday off to make sure I'm home when the console arrives. It's going to get pretty nail biting after it ships and as Friday drags on.

I already have store bought copies of Killzone and Knack. I got right in on the Amazon pre-orders as the Sony conference at E3 ended. I expect mine to ship on Wednesday as with all the people above.

I want to try this, but I Yelped the center where they would hold the package and they got 1-stars across the board. Not sure if I should do it or just wait for the package to arrive at like 8 pm.
