Kotaku introduces the Amazon Playstation Network Store

This is the kinda shit that MS should've had in place if they were trying to push all digital. They're now again beaten to the punch by sony. Sony are on fire this year.

Personally I don't plan on ever going digital, but this is great news for those who are. More options is always a good thing.

Wow!

If this is PS only and there's no intention to put a XB store, this is a pretty big deal

(provided that we'll see some good deals there :) )

Says it's currently only to customers located in the United States and who have a U.S. billing address.

Holy shit. My favorite online retailer partnered with Sony? Someone pinch my ass pls.

See THIS is how you convince people that going all digital is worth it. Amazon will have killer deals on digital titles at times and probably even some BxGx free. Good shit.

Do they send you codes or do purchases go straight to your account? I finally want an easy method of gifting digital purchases on PSN.

Seems to be codes.

PSN titles themself are region locked so you would still need a US psn account.

Yeah that's cool. My real question is whether or not fake addresses and overseas Paypal/credit card accounts will work with this. From what someone posted in the thread, the billing address of the cards has to be US based which suggests that its pretty muchr region locked.

I can buy PC game codes from amazon.com (using a random US Address) and redeem them on my EU steam account.

Please be the same with PSN!
