looooooooooooooool

When a new Nintendo Direct shows more Smash footage the first Pic of the Day is usually boring because a good one comes later. This one is too interesting to be used as a decoy pic. Sorry guys.

Village opens the net to reveal that he caught multiple newcomers.

And Link.

Super Mario 3D World spoilers (as spoiled by Nintendo Direct):

I've always thought
Rosalina
would be an awesome addition to Smash Bros. with
magic and Luma-based attacks
, and since
she's playable in 3D World
, hopefully
her
chances have increased.

I think
she
has a much bigger chance now. I thought she was a long-shot before, but seeing the reaction people has to the direct reveal, I think it's very possible
she's
in Smash 4.

*nods in agreement*

The
Galaxy Spin
seems to be integrated into
her
.

Maybe
throwing Lumas or firing Star Bits
too.

The Villager should say a lame joke/pun about every time he catches someone in his net.

"I caught a Bowser! How does he even fit in the net?"
"I caught a Pit! Better be careful not to fall!"

...Or something along those lines.

So everyone is now speculating that a certain character that showed up in the direct has a much better chance of making it in; I wonder what everyone's thoughts are on if the villian in A Link Between Worlds has any shot of making it in? He looks like he could have a pretty unique moveset with his flaming rainbow scepter/torch thing and being more magic based. I know it seems like blasphemy to replace Ganondorf but I think I would be ok with it if he was being replaced with a character that had a more unique moveset. Before everyone goes off saying Ganon is so much more iconic or relevant to the franchise, from the looks of the early reviews of ALBW, it is going to be a classic.

I caught a Link! I hope he isn't broken!

I think a playable Ganon would be an excellent idea, but Ganondorf should stay as his own character too. You could keep Ganondorf as is, so as to not upset players who have used him the last two games, but could also implement a cool new moveset for a huge character from a franchise that 'deserves' more than a clone character. Its not as if Sakurai is adverse to different forms of the same character, particularly when it comes to Zelda ones.

Link, Toon Link, Zelda/Sheik, Ganondorf, Ganon,
Tingle

Ganondorf being replaced with a recent one-off villain is even less likely than Marth being replaced by a recent secondary Fire Emblem character.

I just read the page and it was hilarious at all the spoiler bars.
I personally think
Rosalina
would be a great choice for smash myself

Little Mac is and always has been Italian American ("white"). He's an homage to Rocky Balboa. Italian American boxer Paulie Malignaggi portrayed Little Mac in advertising for Punch-Out!! Wii.

Just because the Punch-Out!! Wii art director decided to make Little Mac's skin a bit darker doesn't mean he's magically changed his ethnicity.

...But, more importantly, what difference does it make?

So now Miiverse 3DS is dropping next month, reckon Sakurai will do one 3DS shot alongside a Wii U one each day?

That'd be damn sweet.
