As if he fixed it. Only took 4 hours. So you take the HDD out and turn it on while there isn't one inside it. Then put the HDD back in after you've turned it off and on again.

He booted it without an HDD in, it went into safe mode, he shut it down, put the HDD back in, and it went into some safe mode thing and fixed itself.
