I haven't got a wink of sleep (in London - 4am), decided "screw it" and got up and open up GAF to read and subsequently watch this unfold.


Fascinating... and hilarious... I mean the guy is obviously not technical but basic instructions are really going over their heads. To be fair, they are probably above the average gamer so this could be worrying times for Sony if this is not a simple fix and widespread.

Worried about mine now, never buy at launch is sound advice I am thinking now.

- Guy was using PS4
- Played NBA, switched to Battlefield that needed to update
- PS4 shut off
- Couldn't boot back
- He removed hard drive tried again
- Eventually safe mode and booted back up again (later)
- Played Knack, and streamed
- Was downloading DCUO twice, and it crashed again when trying to access PSStore
- Still can't boot it back now

It is pretty clear that the issue is the HDD, it is most likely corrupt, which means a complete format is needed.
The problem however, is that he keeps doing the format steps wrong, again and again.

I can see why people are shitting on him, he's done a couple of dumb ass things, but there is still something seriously fucked with his PS4.

Knowing this guy like we do know. Isn't it perfectly within reason that whatever is wrong with his PS4 was caused by his own actions?
