Disaster for me, utilizing UPS MyChoice to get the system at the UPS Store near me so I could pick it up at Friday morning instead of waiting until Friday evening to wait for it to ship:

I live in College Station as well and had the exact same thing happen to me. Got AC in 1 day. Hoping I get that shipping notice soon.

Yep. Gotta read the whole thing, my dude. I was looking into doing that as well, but I didn't have any UPS distribution centers nearby. It said I could choose a UPS store, but it would take extra time.

I live in CT and nothing yet. No preparing for shipment or anything. My Killzone has shipped and will be here on Friday, but my Knack and 1TB hard drive haven't shipped but will also be here Friday. I have a feeling those will come in the same box as the PS4. And my poor Injustice will arrive on Monday (hopefully).

Same here. I got AC4 notification on Monday night at 7pm and had that thing Tuesday at noon via UPS. They'll get it here.

I used MyChoice to change to UPS Will Call center, since it's relatively close (13 miles), but it didn't give me an 'estimated delivery time' there so I'm nervous. But I think I should be okay.
Call them. Yeah UPS is utter crap for this, they charge you money and take longer. Fedex does it for free and same day as promised (in the morning). Once they even gave the store my package a day early.

That really sucks. Like somebody else mentioned, I'd try to call them. Or even go to that store when you see it has arrived on tracking if it arrives friday.
So,
UPS Store = PS4 Monday ?
UPS Distribution Center = PS4 Friday?
I was really set on doing the Distribution Center thing, but if there's even a slight chance of me not getting the system on Friday, I'll just pre-sign it or something (I live in a safe neighborhood, and they probably won't come until someone gets home anyways).

I temporarily changed my shipping address to a new one because there was a possibility that was the only place where I could pick it up, and Amazon demands I enter a new form of payment for security reasons. Fine, I submit my checking account info.
Without telling me they make that my payment method for the PS4, which wouldn't have been a problem if they hadn't screwed up their own formatting. So today comes and when it comes time to charge my account it obviously is declined because they fucked up. So they kick me off the line and now I'm set to be delivered next Tuesday when I should've received it this Friday >:|

Not useless at all. Get a CS rep on a chat, or call, they'll sort it out.

I believe so. Make sure you find a customer center and NOT a UPS store. Also, it's free of charge to have your package held at a customer center, whereas you have to pay to have it sent to a UPS store.

So shipped, and that's awesome, but I hadn't even considered the possibility that no one might be home when it shows up at my house.......I feel like usually someone has to sign for bigger package, which this will definitely be.

youre supposed to do the UPS Customer Center...because that is where your console will actually be put on a truck to be delivered..instead of putting it on the truck they just hold it there...

remember...from right about now...if you live on the east coast...Amazon has about 29 hours to get your console to the local customer center so it can be put on a delivery truck and out for delivery Friday morning around 5am....
they can move A LOT of consoles...a LONG way in the next 24 hours...
