I feel like Sakurai has been slowly making the Pic of the Day thing into more like the Brawl Dojo, but in picture and Miiverse format. It started with stuff like "look at this silly picture of Kirby" but most pictures nowadays at least has some info together with them. I feel like we might get newcomers soon actually.

Think of it this way, sony had to go 3rd parties and even their own studios to even have the hope of getting characters in their game, for smash, sometimes sakurai doesnt even have to ask.

Yeah I think the development might be further than we thought it would be. I know Sakurai implied that they are still in early development tho.

Yoshi, Link, and Samus have been the unholy trinity managing to more or less suck in all 3 Smash games. The highest any of them has placed is Yoshi in C tier for Smash 64 and Samus in C tier in Melee.

I dunno, it's pretty consistent besides Sonic Chronicles and Sonic 4. There's the guilty-pleasure buttrock of course but also a ton of great instrumentals.
