People are streaming "shows" via PS4 twitch..

It's amazing that the XB1 launched today, but the biggest deal seems to be this crazy thing that happened by accident, and could change streaming on the PS4 forever. This streaming and sharing has been bigger than I think even Sony ever imagined it would be this early on.

This guy is going to end up getting an awesome job out of this, calling it right now.
Pretty cool to watch it all unfold, cant believe he's still going, good for him.

He has a talent for bringing community together and keeping them engaged.

Dude look at the gif. It's telling her to rub it, just helping her.

Wait, why is this thread at 30 pages. Could I get a summary?

Guy and his wife start streaming him modding his DS4, ends up with him having a show on Twitch using the PS4 streaming features; it goes viral. He's had thousands of viewers and been on many news sites and is featured on the front page of Twitch.tv

This is awesome, hope he can keep this up and get something from it. I'm willing to bet people will forget about him by next week though :(.

Can't believe the stream I randomly started watching when it had freaking 38 viewers turned into the most viral thing of the night.

Honestly couldn't happen to a better dude, too. When I was watching, him and his friend were happy for the 38. Totally aces.

Also this is Wario's fault

Hey GAF, can any of you explain how the hell he modded his DS4 using DS3 analogs? I could have sworn that the DS3 analog part was too bulky to fit into the DS4's frame. This is crazy lol, glad I caught Spartan. banderas.gif to him for sure ;).

Wait, did something happened? This thread is huge.

Recap:

- Spartan and his wife created a stream where he showed his modding of the DS4 (replacing sticks with DS3 sticks), also had a competition to give away a PS3

- Spent numerous hours on stream with limited viewership

- Neogaf thread created and Wario tweeted about the stream

- Yosp, Adam Boyes, Playstation, etc. retweeted Wario

- Stream gained viewership quickly (200 - 1k in around half an hour)

- Adam Boyes called The Spartan Show

- Patrick Klepek called The Spartan Show

- Yosp tweeted he was watching the show (never called though)

- Gave away his PS3

- Stream picked up by other Gaming media, posted as news articles

- Stream blew up to around 4 - 5k views

- Wife went to sleep

- Twitch staff began moderating chat

- Placed on front page of Twitch

Just a disclaimer, I didn't catch the start of the stream, and I was away for around an hour in the middle of it, so I may be missing some of the above. It went viral due to the refreshing nature of the stream, in the middle of the cynicism of console wars, it's nice just watching an average guy become internet-famous in the space of a few hours.

Stumbled on this and saw neogaf mentioned in the comments. I really feel for any female who streams. They get subjected to the worst kind of shit.

I can't watch her anymore... Can't stand the way she talks. She acts like an airhead but I'm sure she isn't stupid.. right? And the non-swearing. Terrible

Big thanks to you! That's awesome.

Hmmm... that's a strange question.

It's not a serious question. I was talking more along the lines of Sony mimicking Nintendo's "SHUT DOWN EVERYTHING" when they realized people do nasty things on the internet.

Sony would have to be crazy to not elevate some of these dudes to stardom, though
