People are streaming "shows" via PS4 twitch..

Shu's tweet was hilarious. This is really crazy, I wonder if Twitch will allow it? I'd imagine UStream would if Twitch wouldn't.

doesn't seem that much different to those people that stream a game in a tiny tiny window but their webcam is most of the screen. Often including lots of cleavage, which I'm sure is a coincidence.

Not sure why I watched this for 4 hours this morning while working but I did. Think it was interesting just seeing them go from having 200 viewers to a couple thousand. Pretty cool thing they started. Pretty sure by the end of the week there will be more people doing similar things. I never got into streaming, but did the other day for the first time. I like the new feature on the ps4.

can someone summarized what happened.

From a few pages back:

Recap:

- Spartan and his wife created a stream where he showed his modding of the DS4 (replacing sticks with DS3 sticks), also had a competition to give away a PS3 if he got to some number of viewers.

- Spent numerous hours on stream with limited viewership

- Neogaf thread created and Wario tweeted about the stream

- Yosp, Adam Boyes, Playstation, etc. retweeted Wario

- Stream gained viewership quickly (200 - 1k in around half an hour)

- Adam Boyes called The Spartan Show

- Patrick Klepek called The Spartan Show

- Yosp tweeted he was watching the show (never called though)

- Gave away his PS3

- Stream picked up by other Gaming media, posted as news articles

- Stream blew up to around 4 - 5k views

- Wife went to sleep

- Twitch staff began moderating chat

- Placed on front page of Twitch

-----

For the most part he just kept answering questions, talked to video producer at Sony Rey Guiterez, how CoD is his favourite game on the PS4 and did banderas.gif a bunch of times.

i've been begging for over 5 years.
Wow, I told ya'll streaming is going to be the 'online' of this gen. I have a feeling we are going to see some great stuff come out of this, of course getting to it will probably result to sifting through dicks, dicks everywhere.

I honestly cant wait to see where he takes this, good to see such a cool couple being able to do something like this so easily.

Can I now safely say that next gen is here?

Will be watching again later on today!

Thanks for The recap, but why on earth would you want the DS3 Sticks placed on a DS4... ewwwgh, I couldnt go back.

If any gaffers are in this guys stream typing racist comments then you can fuck off

I was in there..I asked 50 what happened to his lamp shade. He said it broke while he was moving.
I also saw a guy sitting in a room full of Dallas Cowboys decorations who did nothing but stare at his television.

Hopefully the cream rises to the top regarding these "shows".

I never undestand when people talk about Iwata beeing likeable.
You never hear of the guy expect from directs. Am I missing something?

Yeah me neither he just acts a certain way on directs and says 'please understand' a lot. He's not taking a bunch of time out of his day to interact with actual fans like shu does.

Shu is freaking high up the chain on Sony and yet does more than most community managers.

You see him at E3 as well, and the interviews he conducts on Nintendo.com are generally very insightful. Ultimately I think he comes across as a humble individual who genuinely loves games and cares for the company. Contrast this with, say Don Mattrick, who is perhaps a very cool guy, but can't help but exude a certain cocky used-car-salesman vibe. Or even Yamauchi, who appeared far more disconnected than Iwata.

Though I agree, Yoshida is doing an amazing job staying on top of what's being discussed and connecting with fans. I think he's raised the bar.

This streaming shit is something I didn't know I wanted so bad. No I feel like a freak watching all these people in their homes.

And we are willing...

Is this all it took? To give us the choice to do it to ourselves rather than forcing it down our throats? Take note MS.

That greek fable comes to mind about the sun and the wind. Persuasion is better than force.

I'm pretty sure their Terms of Service should protect them from that shit. If not Sony's lawyers are going to fail so hard.

Multiple people have committed suicide live on a streaming site, and there have never been legal repercussions for the sites as far as I know.
