I didn't even realize NA had a demo, just heard EU getting one. I can give that a go at some point after I finish the Ace Attorney DLC on the 3ds then and likely confirm my dislike for the game instead of hoping that against all odds I will enjoy it
for the record me assuming I will hate it has nothing to do with the quality of the game, it looks like a quality game, just not my type of game

I was very negative about the game because I'm really not a fan of Media Molecule's output but I just couldn't ignore the positive feedbacks on the game (and I have a crush on my Vita... Such a wonderful little machine). I'm more than happy to feed on tasty crows and swallow my pride if it means I have a gem to play.

The budget price in EU/UK vs the normal price in NA has me on boycott.
There are so few Western physical releases of Vita games these days that at this point, you're just cutting off your nose to spite your face.
So yesterday after work I went to EBGames and asked for Tearaway. The clerk's eyes opened wide and she answered a very enthusiastic "YES! I'll go get it!". I guess I was the first person to ever ask for it, which is kinda sad. But at least they actually had the game, so they haven't completely stopped bothering with the Vita I guess (there's barely any shelf space left for it, not even a demo unit).

I know 999 and VLR are really praised around Gaf and I've tried to like the games but I just can't...
The characters are ridiculous and they don't stop talking bullshit all the time...I just want to play the puzzles !!

giant backlog of games resulting me to not buy many games day 1.
the game doesn't look fun to me, I have never been a fan of touch controls and tearaway does not look like it will change my mind. My favorite use of touch controls? Advancing text in the ace attorney games... yeah... that's it lol.
finally... it strikes me as a game that will be added to the ps+ line up next june or so... so what minor interest I have in it can easily wait until then.
If I felt I must buy a vita game right now I would be buying Ys instead

How far are you in? Have you gotten to an ending yet?
At least go in a few endings and see if it starts to click for you, if not... well, stuff isn't for everyone. As far as the puzzles go though, you're better off looking elsewhere as they are mediocre at their very best. (Though WAAY better than the 999 puzzles).
VLR is meant to be played for the story, if that's not drawing you in then put it aside and move on in your backlog.

However, then it says this does not apply to pre-orders and to check the pre-order page on what happens, yet that's under the pre-order help drop-down.
When I ordered with my paypal account I got a pending deduction on my funds, so it might be safe to assume a similar thing will happen with a credit card.

GE2 has a setting for color correction. LOL.
They need to bring back OLED later on. (Panasonic has recently dropped their Plasma R&D for OLED, IIRC. Hopefully, this speeds up tech maturity more.)

Ya it looks significantly better with it turned on. I wonder if future games will also implement that option to balance the disparity between the two models, assuming they don't phase out the 1000 eventually

Technically OLED never went away, you can still buy the 3G Vita in Japan.

I never said that. In fact, I'm one of the people here who keeps saying you don't need to buy a "back-up OLED Vita", since they never said they'll discontinue it and everything says that it'll stay. Plus solely for "back-up" is actually not a good idea due to the Lithium Ion Battery.
But come on. Who doesn't want a Vita with OLED, lighter weight and slightly better battery life at the same time?
