Yeah and the console via card thankfully, i also ordered NBA2K14 via PayPal so i'll see how that goes. I clicked the link in the email to contact them and asked if it was because i'd used PayPal or that they had no stock or could they just tell me why?

I'll see what comes of it. Hopefully i can reorder the controller on my card next but i'll wait and see what they say first.

An MD5 hash is a method used to verify that the files haven't been tampered with. They scan the file, do some fancy maths and get that long code. You can then scan the file when you download/transfer it, some apps do that for you, and have some faith it hasn't been altered or corrupted if the MD5 hases match.

Just a check to ensure the files were fully downloaded....so if your dl stopped 1mb near the end the hashes wouldnt match (thats a bad thing).

Nothing, it's just a fingerprint of the file if you want to verify that the file has been downloaded correctly.
The PS4 as the PS3/Vita & PSP do that automatically

There's been a massive thread on this over on the official PS forums. It'll probably make it into the weekly reports the community mods do that'll be flagged up for the higher ups. Hopefully something will come of it. I'll gladly sacrifice a bracket on the camera (that I probably wouldn't use) for some PSN store credit.

Also, for people downloading the firmware update from the US site. You may want to hold on till Thursday when it is put up on the EU site. Envisager (the community manager) said he's not sure if firmware from other nations will work correctly.

You only need to download the RECOVERY FILE if you are upgrading your hard drive before turning it on for the first time

He's uninformed. Most community managers/PR folks aren't tech-savvy.

I've downloaded the firmwares from 3 different regions (US, EU, JP) and the file sizes/md5 hashes match perfectly. Maths don't lie.

Anyone seen what demos are available launch day, I don't believe the US store had any at first, but I'm sure I saw a FIFA 14 demo on the Euro PSN, when someone put a screenshot up.

I want to go all digital, but prices are really high, unless it's a must have like Gran Turismo or Battlefield, I'm going to need a demo before I lay down £40-£50 on a digital game.

I logged in to PayPal and the transaction is there with a status of "Pending" so maybe it's a paypal issue? A transaction from GAME earlier in the week went through fine. I've no idea now I'll see what happens and fire off an email tomorrow if i need to.
