Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 3: Ridley's Believe It or Not!

So Ganondorf.( my fav Smash character ever!)

What weapon should he have?

Sage Blade.
Demise Sword(Ghiraface aka Evil Master Sword)
Ganon's Trident(Maybe Gold)
Hands and Feet(For all the unoriginal people)

Demise's sword and magic. Why Ganondorf can't use magic, like Zelda? He should be able to throw energy balls, that they're be able to countered. The usual tennis.

I want Waluigi, the Creepy-Ass-Motherfucker Pokemon.

Ganondorf. Hmm....

Weapon: Sage Blade

Neutral B: Energy Ball
Side-B: Running towards the enemy, doing a Sword Slash when releasing B (like in Twilight Princess)
Down B: Triforce Force Field (From Corrupted Zelda in Twilight Princess)
Up B: I actually like SSB's Up-B for Ganondorf, leave it.

Final Smash: Ganon, but make him a transformation this time. Teleport for the lulz.

His various A-attacks could be various attacks with his sage sword, witch a few kicks etc. in the mix (esp for aerials)

Ganondorf shouldn’t use a weapon. He fights differently in each game he appears in, so it’s better to just make him a magic/“darkness”-based power fighter, which is what he is at his core (and that's how he fights in Ocarina of Time). Just get rid of all the Captain Falcon-inspired animations from Brawl and he’d be fine.

I hope the extent of that doesn't just mean make a damage bonus to attacks by adding a darkness element.

Doesn't he use swords in Twilight Princess and Wind Waker?

Doesn't he use swords in Twilight Princess and Wind Waker?
He uses magic in Ocarina of Time, dual swords in Wind Waker, and a single sword in Twilight Princess. It's a completely different fighting style in each game. All incarnations of Ganondorf have magical capabilities so that's why I think his move set should revolve around that. It's more of a catch-all Ganondorf that doesn't tie him down to a particular game.

A Link to the Past style Pig Gannon transformation similar to Zelda/Sheik would be cool. But I would still want Dorf's moveset to be completely differentiated from Falcon.

Get N, or get Out!

Damn Ganon and his n's.

I always thought giving Ganondorf a trident would be cool. Ties into Ganon and the older games but doesn't necessarily seem out of character for Ganondorf to use either.

ND-05 SERPENT

I would main a Steeldiver submarine if it was put in Super Smash Bros. And with Steeldiver: Subwars being F2P, they need a large playerbase to be successful, so SSB would be a perfect marketing opportunity for the series.

The boat reminds me...

Giga Bowser is cool and all, but Bowser in his clown copter would make a neat final smash, it could also work as his recovery.

It was weird that it showed up in a couple SSE cutscenes but his introduction animation was instead some generic fire effect.

It should at least be his intro in Smash 4.

Bowser's clown copter felt super forced in SSE. Especially considering how alienated the story felt regarding the majority of the characters. Mario being super serious and ready to beat someone's head in at whatever chance he could is a pretty good example of what I mean. I'm hoping that "overly epic" atmosphere of Smash Bros. Brawl will be dropped with this installment. It's currently looking to be a much more light-hearted game this time around, fortunately. :)

It's not like the entire game was serious business.

There are a lot of drama in several boards from what I remembered. Many people were derived of informations, and people got pissed at samurai for abandoning them for a week. They are nutty without informations. I know there are more but I don't really remember what.

Wow, that is scary. Hope this board doesn't go off the nutter.

How would he hold items?

The same way Link does.

Well, part of the issue there was the decision to keep everyone mute. It still had comic relief moments, but they couldn't really use entire cutscenes for Paper Mario style mute dialogue gags.

Still, that atmosphere works for a crossover fighting/adventure game. It makes more sense to make series like Mario more serious than bring down Zelda and others. The crossover wouldn't be justified if it were a less serious scenario than a solo adventure of one of them.

Kazushige Nojima worked with Sakurai on Brawl's story, which could explain the serious ambiance...Or not? Ironically, Nojima's first suggestion was decidedly sillier, and it was Sakurai who wanted stuff to be Serious Business.

Sakurai: Right. It wasn’t bad at all and had its own appeal, but it was a bit different than what I had envisioned it would be. It went something like this…"Some of the characters are on a bus on the way to the stadium. Samus is there. Donkey Kong is there and Snake is watching the bus from afar." It was like that. (laughs) I had envisioned a more serious tone for the story. Something with some misfortune like a single character escaping total annihilation of his squadron and then fighting back while rounding up his allies. Ultimately, we worked together and successfully organized our ideas into the storyline for The Subspace Emissary.

It's amusing then, to look at the entirely Sakurai-written Kid Icarus: Uprising and see a story that, albeit not without its serious touches, openly embraces comedy and is much better for it. (Whereas Brawl has funny -touches-, but it's pretty serious overall). Super Smash Brothers -begs- for a more comical approach, and if the introduction trailers for the newcomers are any indication, thankfully Sakurai thinks it as well this time around.

He puts his swords back into his sleeves.
Dunno if anyone saw this yet but GameXplain made a 30 minute analysis video today.

Woah, didn't know they didn't do one for the initial trailer and gameplay videos lol.

Also, is it safe to subscribe to them yet? I unsubbed when they posted all of those Super Mario 3D World videos, filled up my sub box and probably contained spoilers.

Yes, and they never put spoilers in the titles or thumbnails.

Trademarks in multiple languages+ Teaser that looks like it's from a fighting game featuring Fighting type pokemon =/= rumor.
I heard that the trademark thing wasn't real and that screenshot was just a cool picture someone at Game Freak made to show a realistic and cool fight between Lucario and Blaziken. But I suppose you're right.

I'd take the Demise Sword. I would love to see Ganondorf represent more than one incarnation of himself in Smash. I mean if Marth can be a mix of his iterations (well at least visually) why not Ganondorf? Imo, his hands and feet should still be his main playing style ( I don't see Sakurai drastically ever changing this) but it would be nice to have the sword incorporated in some special or regular moves. I'd also like to see some dark magic involved but then we're getting into the Meta Knight levels of design.

Video is good and all and he goes over a lot of basic information that's been trickled out up to now, but good god he needs to slow down. Talking so fast like he has a gun to his head in addition to his nasally voice is really irritating to me.
Well the video would be super long and he does over-explain things (for good reason too I believe), so talking fast like he is at the moment is better.

I think the low point of the video is when it got to Male Fit Trainer. We don't know anything about it, but then Derrick (I think that's how his name is spelt) seemed to have assumed he was confirmed playable and then went on to speculation of what alternate skins would be possible.

So from the start of the new dojo, what's everyone's top 5 favourite screenshots revealed so far?
