edit: didnt know there was gonna be a new Green Day any time soon. I still love that band.

It seems to have been in varying stages of production for a while now... a recent report said it could surface in the summer. Then again, there were reports saying it could've emerged at various periods last year. Consider it a maybe, but it's gotta appear sooner or later. If Portishead can scrounge together an album, so can Massive Attack.

Ha yeah Detox would be awesome. I'm looking forward to Nas' new album, and I'm kinda excited to hear Tha Carter 3 by Lil Wayne. Other than that I don't really know what's comming out this year. I want more Lupe!

Now that I've listened to Vampire Weekend and Los Campensinos!...

new Girl Talk, Mars Volta, Weezer, Foals - Antidotes, and a bunch of rap albums that will probably never come out.
 
I really hope Islands turns around and releases something new. Their single Joy that they had out around the summer of last year was rad. So, yeah, I'm looking forward to whatever Islands/Nick Diamonds/the Unicorns/whjatever the fuck he's calling his group now has in store for us.

Other than that...mmm, Cat Power most likely, maybe some of the awesome bands from this year can put some mroe awesome shit together. Panda Bear, I wish you could write genious songs every year. :(

Maybe the 2nd Cannibal Ox album will surface this year? Should be a new pAper chAse album by the end of the year too.

Eminem has a new album comming this year? That should be good... if it's more like The Slim Shady and Marshal Mathers LPs.
 
Didn't Paul Simonon say TGTBTQ was dead? I kinda figured they'd be kaput after Coachella.

Anyway, right now the only things on my radar are the new Nas album and the Pogues 4-disc rarities thing coming out in March.

Somebody told me about this band called These New Puritans that have an album coming out in a couple weeks. I listened to an EP that bodes pretty well.

All of these, hopefully. Def Jux closed out the year with some uninteresting (to me at least) stuff, Rob Sonic, et al. But they have Del next year and hopefully they'll have a lot more None Shall Pass and I'll Sleep and a lot less Whatever Else.
