He might not be heavy, but no one's better at picking things up.
And maybe politely placing them in their correct location.
lol, that's a good idea. He should be able to pick people up and carry them like DK.

Maybe not in a narrative sense, since The Black Knight was practically a force of nature that came and went as he pleased. The times he suddenly shows up by himself, Ike and crew had no recourse but to run in the other direction, which means you're scrambling to keep your party away from permadeath. Made him memorable in that sense.A lot of people have a hard-on for this guy.
[Radiant series Black Knight]
Where did you see that?
What will tomorrow's screenshot be?
Something good to close the week?
Interestingly enough, I wanted Toad to be the defacto grappler with my justification being how he was always the best power lifter as per SMB2. Just imagining tiny ass Toad hitting people with various holds and piledrivers should be enough to get anyone to crack a smile, especially if he could lift while moving as fast as he did in SMB2 while carrying items or enemies holding someone.
Probably 3DS screenshot since we didn't get one this week yet.
Not sure.
Probably 3DS screenshot since we didn't get one this week yet.
We did. The extension carriage on ST stage.
I'd like another screenshot of Rosalina on 3DS.don'tkillme
will laugh if they cancel the 3ds version and sah is forced to buy a wii u
You're twisting what I'm saying. Falco and Wolf are both space animal fighters that use similar weapons. Its the FOUNDATION I'm looking at. Take the characters and pretend they are from a different game entirely. Would they be different conceptually, no.
Falcon and Ness DID bring music, victory music and they were both great tunes. Did I say they always bring stages or that stages need a rep? No, I said that characters of new franchises usually more often than not bring new music and stages with them. Falco and Wolf did not bring a thing.
People are also getting distracted on why I brought up Mewtwo. I brought up Mewtwo because he was cut, I never said I thought he deserved it. But I did bring up if the consequences of a cut Mewtwo were as bad a people make them out to be? Did it cause major backlash? Is the consequence of a cut character that big of a deal if you are adding new content in its place? Brawl sold more than Melee despite being considered inferior from fanatics. Popularity is not THAT significant of a factor.
Its like once a person gets their character in one game, it doesn't stop there. Now the character must always stay in. That can't be fun for the developers. I've seen no other major series get much backlash for character axes in fighting games beyond clearly stupid ones like with the original Street Fighter 3. Cuts are not a big deal, people will just play the old games.
I personally want to see Kumatora and Claus (as the Masked Man) in the game, but I think it's unlikely.Mother is not complete until I get Kumatora.
Mother is not complete until I get Kumatora.
Nintendo likes having money
I think we all know why Brawl outsold Melee, and it has absolutely nothing to do with anything you're talking about
kuma means bear
tora is a religious text
too edgy for smash bros
Npw it's time...for a list of characters that WON'T be in the game.
But...iirc doesn't tora mean tiger?

You get new content and nothing bad comes of it.

1. Geno - I like Geno as much as any other SNES fanboy does, but his time has gone and past. He wasn't in Melee, he wasn't in Brawl, he isn't going to be in Smash 4. Nintendo has made it clear they simply don't care about Geno, and fan interest in his inclusion has died over the past few years. Rosalina also already filled that void of fan-favorite Mario character, as Geno isn't as popular as her even though their fanbases are similar (on the internet, and vocal).
so I google image-searched Skapon, which directed me to screenshots of the 1988 game Skapon Taikentai: The Enchanted Hunters and .. oh my
Mother is not complete until I get Kumatora.
Anyone from Mother 3 would do it for me.
Personally I think a Pigmask would be a great character to add. I can just imagine the silly running animation as he sounds like a pig during the entire thing.

Rosalina also already filled that void of fan-favorite Mario character, as Geno isn't as popular as her even though their fanbases are similar (on the internet, and vocal).
2. King K. Rool - Another character Nintendo has abandoned. While it would be cool, the focus on Donkey Kong is mostly on the Kongs now so most likely we'll be getting Dixie Kong or Cranky Kong...or both.
3. Japan-only FE characters - Probably not happening, since FE's most known aspects are...well, the games that are released in multiple countries. I will, however, say that Roy is the exception, as I honestly feel he might return for this game cause he has a HUGE fan following much like Mewtwo does. But even Roy seems unlikely since Ike took his place, and Chrom will fill that void for new FE rep.
4. F-Zero reps - No one gives a shit about Samurai Goroh and etc. Captain Falcon is enough, as F-Zero's main aspect is it's cars which is represented by it's stages.
5. Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts characters - Nothing like a Nintendo game with...characters viewed by masses as Sony characters. That isn't to say it's impossible btw, as nothing is impossible, but it's very unlikely. It's more likely Nintendo would go with Dragon Quest as their Square-Enix franchise. If Square-Enix asked Nitnendo, ala Kojima did with Snake, then sure, but Nintendo probably isn't searching them out like they did with Mega Man and Sonic.
6. Vaati/Skull Kid/etc - Nintendo isn't going to make an obscure Zelda villain playable. The only way someone like this has a chance is if they come from a recent game...such as Ghirahim or Demise for example, but even they are doubtful since we already have the iconic Zelda characters in the game, with the missing void being a Toon Zelda representation.
7. Anime/manga characters - Probably not going to happen. The only one I imagine, if this really did happen, is Luffy from One Piece but even that is far-fetched and doesn't really fit the theme of the game. This is a bit lower on the list, as I do feel like something like this wouldn't be that out of the realm, as Nintendo would make a LOT of money from a Luffy or Goku inclusion.
8. Dark Samus - Another character Nintendo doesn't really give too much of a shit about. Also, it's better as an alt. Even Ridley is more likely as her...both a playable baby white fuzzball Ridley (trolled) or a huge awesome badass Ridley that's a clone of Charizard (even bigger trolled).
9. More Mother characters - While I do realize Sakurai loves this franchise, which is why I put this lower on the list as I don't think it's as legit as the above, I do feel like Nintendo is mostly done with representing Mother in these games. I think anyone more than Ness and Lucas, who already get WTF reactions by most people who buy these games, would just be a bad idea for business. I do, however, believe we'll get more assist trophy content and more stages based off the series.
10. Obscure characters like Starfy/Skapon/Takamaru - I also put this on the bottom, as I do think Sakurai has a deep love for these characters, and it wouldn't be too farfetch'd to see them. I do, however, think it's a bit ridiculous people on boards expect all of these characters to be revealed. At most, and most likely imo, we'll only be getting one...and the most likely rep would be Takamaru, since Nintendo has shown clearly they do remember him in some of their recent games, possibly building up to the Smash 4 reveal. Skapon is probably the least likely as Sakurai actually did try to put Skapon in Melee, but it didn't work out as his fighting mechanics were screwed up, or something (or he couldn't program him right).
Umm...the train pic?
We did. The extension carriage on ST stage.
I'd like another screenshot of Rosalina on 3DS.don'tkillme
okay
Thomas for SSB4
I was expecting stuff like Kyle Hyde from Hotel Dusk or something. Listing things like third party games and anime characters are a given.
Oh man Kyle Hyde would be so cool. Absolutely no idea what they'd do with him but, like, just as far as "interesting characters" go, imagine that sketchy, paper-cut-out look running around. So good.
I know it makes me sound like a douche but I wish they'd announce a new badass fuckin cool looking character. The closest we've got is the new Marth design.
Otherwise, NES Mega Man, Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, and Rosalina.
I want Shulk or a new Fire Emblem character or Ghirahim or something :[ even Dillon. The rest are fine and dandy but they are pretty cute overload. Makes me feel feel like we'll be seeing more like that. Incoming Chibi Robo, playable Mii, and Trixie Kong.

Yeah, they really do need to reveal an intimidating or cool character to really get the blood pumping. I'd rather they reveal someone that makes people go "cool!" istead of "yaay!". Although I had no problem with Rosalina as a fighter in and of herself it was a bit depressing updating my friends and them just saying "oh another Mario character". It was more entertaining hearing them say "what the fuck?" with Wii Fit trainer. Even the hatred for Rosalina is not as interesting as it was for Wii Fit trainer.
Anime is not completely out of the field due to sales? Huh? Anime is completely out of the field because it does not fit Sakurai's vision on Smash Bros. I don't think he would even do it for "extra sales". Smash Bros sells a ton to begin with.
Besides, I don't think Luffy or Goku would bring in that much. Not saying they're not popular or anything, but I'd imagine there's an overlap.
I think we'll see a couple of retro characters and possibly another guest character, but I don't think there are going to be playable characters from unrepresented modern series outside of Animal Crossing and Wii Fit. Smash Bros. is always light on introducing new franchises, which I feel is part of the series' charm, honestly -- the fact that there's such a high threshold for inclusion helps give the roster a feeling of high quality. Smash Bros. is an exclusive club. The day D-level series like Chibi-Robo! or Rolling Western are given playable characters is the day Smash Bros. becomes PlayStation All-Stars.
Of course, this is far from a popular opinion and I don't expect anybody to agree with me. People want to play as their favorite characters from their favorite games and there's nothing wrong with that. I'm just baffled when I lurk Smashboards and GameFAQs and see "realistic" fan rosters with a dozen new IPs represented. (Those people tend to be the same ones who think Rosalina & Luma is a terrible roster addition.)
PlayStation All-Stars is the way it is because it has so many guests vs their own characters. The percentages are all ugly.
I'll take playable Dillon, Sakura Samurai, or Pushmo guy any day of the week. Classics should come as well. Big rosters can be fun .
I see Sakurai has embraced the Reddit definition of trolling, which is "Doing stupid shit and then laughing when people call it stupid."Npw it's time...for a list of characters that WON'T be in the game.
