Not that surprising, I guess, since Dark Souls was a fairly soft M rating in the first place. The monster designs were creepy as all hell, but most of them weren't particularly gory or anything.

The Souls games typically do not have good graphics to begin with. I'm not really excusing it, but not sure what you were expecting after Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. Personally, I think the game looks fine - it's more about the art direction, anyways.

I own Dark Souls on PC and the game looks really nice - stunning sometimes.

It actually does look really nice at times on the PC, yet I played about 200 hours on the PS3 and thought it looked great on that system too since the game is more about level and aesthetic design (which it has in spades). Biggest issue with the console version was the occasionally horrible frame rate ala Blighttown.

"Bartholomew," simply put, is the best video game trailer ever. Namco could not have picked a better song to capture the feel of the series.

I can't wait for a proper next gen dark souls game which utilizes the next gen power. The engine here is showing its age. I hope they are developing it in parallel for the PS4/XB1.
