I think the bigger question is that if it is real, who leaked it and how? Someone on the dev team? That would seem very uncharacteristic.

After last night discussing the ledge grabs/Palutena ti'll like 4 and having class at 7, I'm super tired but it was wroth it, most fun we've had in a minute.
The trophy and the one in the leak have slightly different trinkets.

The more I look, the more the power star eyes look like the shador from the starlike chain's ....chain
The most obvious is the belt buckle
This is the most plausible scenario for the potential leak getting out that Ive seen: Nintendo is setting up a media event for future game releases and someone organizing it took pictures of a playable Smash Bros. demo. Palutenas reveal might coincide with that event. It would explain why Palutena is the only new character photographed the demo wouldnt include anyone else we havent seen.

That's definitely possible. I was kind of going the next reveal would be Diddy Kong to go along with my hopes and dreams of the Translator Leak though. In kind of surprised we haven't had an announcement of a Nintendo Direct coming up.
In that case I wish they would've taken a picture of the menu screen or bottom screen.

I still am not completely convinced that it's legit, but I'm actually speechless when trying to find proof to disprove it. Everything appears untraceable, and the Palutena model itself just looks perfect for Smash 3DS (in my opinion).

Id imagine they would want to be as quick and discreet as possible, in which case pictures of Palutena would take precedence over the menus.

Well there is a leak with Ness, Lucario, and Jigglypuff which Nintendo Press made mistake with. They overlooked the sticker effects for specific characters, so we got three characters from there.

The evidence is piling up against it being either real, or an EXTREMELY elaborate fake that is completely original.
Same old same old.
plenty of theories have been made about why it could be fake, but I don't think there has really been anything definitive yet.
Evidence wise, looks to be very real, we can't find shit to counteract it.

The more I compare it to existing 3DS Smash shots the more I am convinced the picture is real. If it is fake, then the faker did his fucking homework on how the outlines on characters work and look (quite unlike the fake Ness/Jigglypuff shot).
The points where her halo meet her outline just scream real to me. I really doubt any faker would have caught that.
