I did my part and let them know what needs fixing or complete removal.

Like, when it comes to events, I don't even need to say anything, most of them are crap. But the more I play rogue-like mode the more I don't like it each time I play. Like, it's the same shit over and over, same boring enemies, same terrible locations with pool items everywhere and shit, I hate to look at all this shit, it's terrible and boring and literally nothing changes for months and months except bosses. And that's not to mention that when I have to do it more than one time.... UGH!

I think they should scrap this terrible abomination and make a completely new AND WAY MORE INTERESTING AND BETTER DESIGNED rogue-like mode with much better quality. Uh, yeah, it's easy to go through it but I despise the look and design of it the more I play it. It's not even passable at best in terms of quality, it's more like a "We don't care, that'll do" type of thing. ZZZ rogue-like mode is FAR MORE INTERESTING and there's new character kits there as well and more you can do. But in WuWa, I hate these fuckin' echoes from 1.X. like bears, wolfs, monkeys and shit, but I hate to fight them even more.

Anyway, I'm sure a lot of what we'll say won't be even considered, but it won't stop me from saying what I want and what must be said, whether they like it or not. It's our thing to let you know what we don't like and it's your responsibility to make the game better not just for us, but for everyone else.

If any of you guys haven't already filled out the satisfaction survey can you please add a comment, about the Nvidia Drivers.

There has been a issue with 50 series cards and wuthering waves since 2.1 that still hasn't been fixed and I would appreciate all your help.

The current issue is black flicking on terrain and objects only in DX11. Thanks

I'll put in a note about this for you. I was already going to mention that RT enabled causes weird shimmers on some reflective surfaces, it almost looks like TV static.

Are you using mods to improve RT, reflections etc. significantly? Try them out, they look great and now that the game is not crashing with DXGI errors, you can actually play with RT.

Just take best options from all of these and the game will look a lot better.

This is the first gacha waifu simulator I played. I only put like 90 minutes into it so far, but I actually really enjoyed that time.

I was drawn in by the really cool looking landscapes, because I am currently craving blue skies with white clouds and green fields. I dont know, it just reminds me of the early 2000's and for me thats a feel good design. And this game looks absolutely amazing. I just stood there for a while and looking and sunrises and sunsets because watching the clouds go by looks absolutely mesmerizing.

Also, the gameplay is actually fun. Story is whatever so far. Lots of words that have no meaning to me and are just overly confusing. I dont like stuff like that, but story is not what I am here for. Also dont care for the waifu aspect. I dont know why I would ever want to "draw" any new character if I can play through the game with what the game gives me.

Dont know if there will be grinding later on and whether the game will be good enough to justify that, since I just dont see me paying for pulls ever. I hate these mechanics and any kind of gambling in general, so I dont support it. But I'd totally take a game like this and pay money up front if its good.

Also, how does the game look so good and still run 100 fps 4K fully maxed on a 600€ used PC I bought a few months ago. Puts so many other big games to shame.

I was on the last (open ended) question on the survey, adding some bits about performance issues and got hard crashed out of the game and then my PC BSOD'd.

If you're enjoying 1.0 your head is going to explode come 2.0, and as far as game looking good goes - it gets better, wait till you see Septimont :D

Story and writing will definitely improve, by a lot, 1.0 was a disaster on that front. So don't get too discouraged with the word salad.

TheAssist TheAssist The 1.0 story (especially the first half) is the worst one by far, so just power through it. You can also skip through the dialogue, as there's a lot of technobabble that can be hard to digest (I know it puts a lot of people off, lol).

Once you reach Mt. Firmament, the main story picks up a lot. And like my guys Peroroncino & Agent_4Seven said, it gets much better from there on (Black Shores story was peak fiction!).

Damn, Septimont visuals and story so far have been absolutely top tier. I just finished the first half of the main story up to winning the gladiator battles with Lupa and watching Cartie fighting the black tide + Christoforo.

I can't get over how good the environments look there, it's unreal. The subtle stuff too like the scavenger birds flying around, the leaves and flowers blowing and twisting in the air, etc. Drop dead fucking gorgeous. Hard to believe it's in a 'free' game. Story presentation and storytelling just keeps getting better and better too. I keep forgetting how great this game can be between their awful timer based battle events.

This was also my first time seeing Iuno and Augusta in the actual game, they both look fantastic. Even Phrolova is growing on me a bit.

Plus, Lupa's a cute. I'm surprised how bad her banner is doing considering how good she is in the main story so far. I didn't expect her to be one of the "Gathering Wives" crew.

If you think the first part was great, just you wait for the second one:messenger_winking:

As for the visuals, the only thing they need to do now is add RT Local Shadows and RTAO to replace the really bad SSAO and upgrade all ugly and blocky ground objects like rocks and shit like that - it is the only thing which is still not up to par with everything they added in 2.4 and is still on the 1.X level:messenger_relieved:

I noticed they still have a bunch of light sources that aren't actually emitting any light too. It takes me out just a bit, but probably not enough to go in and make every lamp/torch/glowing object an actual light emitting source. I'd imagine that'd be ultra expensive and resource heavy to do.

Well, yeah, when it comes to light sources and shadows from each and every object, it'll be pretty much just as expensive as in MGS5 GZ / TPP back when it came out on PC. But that's when it comes to raster lighting, so if you'll add RT to the mix... well, heh, it'll be a disaster performance-wise probably even if you have high end hardware (CPU and GPU).

That's why I only mentioned very specific things as they will be less expensive, but at the same time will make the game look better and also blend characters with the world and eliminate outdated cell shaded rendering and shadows (on characters) which the game has now.

Ah ok so, when you start the game it just automatically puts you in the story of 1.0? The one where you get a assortment of ...things (I think a sundial, a leaf, some fruit...) and just go places to figure out what they do?

How long is the story of 1.0 then? I am intrigued haha

Each patch number in this game correlates with content. Think of them as chapters. 1.0 is chapter 1, 1.1 is chapter 2 and 2.0 is chapter 1 in the sequel in the series of books. We're currently at patch 2.4, which was split into 2 parts, of which we're in the 2nd half.

You're in chapter 1 of the game 1.0, which is the launch version and was rushed in development (they rewrote the whole story/characters in a few months). The entire 1.X story is kind of long, I recommend you focus only on completing the main story and companion quests until you get to 2.0. Once you get to 2.0, you can start expanding on the various content in the region and take your time levelling/gearing up.

Ah cool, thats good to know. So I just vibe with the flow haha.

I really like that they let you change time of day on a whim. More games need that. Its sunset time all the time! Would be even better if you could decide on how fast time passes, but oh well.

I don't really mind if they take their time with the new patch since I need to get through the 2nd half of the Septimont story first. But before that, I have to finish some things in the other gachas I play. :P

Just finished the rest of the story quest. Phenomenal. The presentation and flow shits on pretty much any other gacha I've played. It's very immersive and the camera work is really well done to make it feel like a proper story instead of just 3 dudes standing around with their arms at their side dropping dry boring dialogue.

Also the boss OST scratched my prog metal itches, so fucking good.

Septimont as a whole has been 10/10 so far, and I barely scratched the surface of it.

Ok, get ready, i have something that needs to be said.
Always Sunny Reaction GIF

It just hit me that its July and we didnt have Iuno release last month in June instead of Carthethyia (who could have easily debuted in 2.2 instead of Shorekeepers solo rerun)
And now we are going to have to wait the whole August stuck with just Phrolovas as a debut banner, only to have Augustas banner release at the start of September. They could have easily named these characters differently.

Are the devs trolling us with these names?

YES. I hate when they do this cuz it doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Like, uh, at the very fuckin' least have a rerun of the Phoenix from Mt. Firmament (fuck Brant) for all of us who don't have her yet to then have a Fire team ready to go for the end game, but nope, there's going to be only goddamn Phrolova for ~1,5 months✋:messenger_weary:

I guess I should be happy that I have all this time to save a lot of pulls for Augusta and her sig (looks like they'll launch her during the second phase of 2.6 and Iuno will come first), BUT MAN!, it means there's 2.5 months of waiting for Augusta considering that we still have two weeks left of 2.5. Nothing can kill the hype like what they're about to do, especially if you're like me and could not give a flying fuck about Phrolova.

It's going to be a real goddamn torture and terrible events to go with it.

Just finished clearing the Whimpering Wastes this reset, but I thought Infinite Torrents was a bit more difficult than the previous one. I still managed to get an SSS rank, but it took me two tries to get above a 5500 score. I guess the coordinated attack and fusion tokens didn't really help since I don't have teams that can take advantage of those, so my Cartwheel team had to do the heavy lifting with the aero token, but still... Anyway, I'm glad I got this done!

You know who's a good fusion damage dealer, hmm hmm?

Still not pulling for Lupa since I'm low on astrites and I ain't the type of gacha player to build up pity on banners, lol. That said, my makeshift Changli team got me to 2k in the first half, and then my Cartwheel team handled the rest in the second half. :P

Nope, lost 50/50 to Furry shithead and then had to go to soft pity. I ended up swiping to get the weapon, and Phrolova is likely a skip now. We'll see how it goes.
Welp, sorry to hear that, man! Mayar Mayar tried to curse my drops with that furry boy a while back, and it looks like that bad luck bounced to you instead. :lollipop_confounded: At least in WuWa, the weapon banner is guaranteed, so hopefully you didn't spend too much.

Ok I'mma really fire it up this week.

Any tips for a first timer?
Don't judge the story on the first main quest. It sucks ass to be sure, but it gets much, much better as content versions go on.

For your 5* character selector, grab Verina.

After you're done getting the "standard" characters you want, start rolling all of your green orb currency (for the gacha) on weapons.

Make data bank level one of your higher priorities. As you level it up, the "drops" you get from enemies (they're called Echoes, but they also double as equipment for stats) will improve as you level it up. You want to get to the point that you are getting 100% drops of Gold tier Echoes because the other tier (green, blue, purple) are useless, and it will save you a lot of farming and time to just get usable ones along the way while you play.

A lot of the current best teams aren't currently available to try to gacha for (limited time), so maybe save your yellow orbs and asterites for the upcoming new patch. There's an expected dps character (Phrolova) that should be really strong then, plus some rerun banners.

You ideally need 2-3 teams of 3 characters for endgame stuff, but it will take quite a bit of time to get there anyways, just enjoy the story and gameplay for now, and see if you even want to worry about that shit later.

*edit*

Also, forgot - don't discount the main character (Rover). He/She is actually really strong and useful in this game, comes in multiple elements and roles, and can absolutely carry you through story stuff.

Also unrelated, but there's a cool Rover mod that takes the Archer 3D model from HSR and recolors it for Rover. I like it.
