Cdkeys has astro digital code for 35 bucks. I never got to it. Now that it's been out a while .. worth it?
watch it be a slightly different shade of blue hahahaThere is a lot of speculation but nobody knows what the change is yet.
Thanks, picked it up.
I wouldn't call that a "twist" but it could be a language barrier thing. His eyes are a different shape. That's a slight twist. It's just an excuse to sell more of these without being the exact same.
In English a twist isn't usually something significant. Very similar with a minor adjustment. And from memory they showed an astrobot controller which was slightly different to the last one with different eyes.I wouldn't call that a "twist" but it could be a language barrier thing.
I'd disagree. A twist is something unexpected/unusual. That can be significant. In English a twist isn't usually something significant. Very similar with a minor adjustment. And from memory they showed an astrobot controller which was slightly different to the last one with different eyes.
Astro Bot is the gift that keeps on giving! I'm definitely grabbing that controller.
So what is that controller that looks the same except the eyes? Why wouldn't they just show the old one then.I'd disagree. A twist is something unexpected/unusual. That can be significant.
Eg. The twists M. night does in his movies, these aren't minor additions to the film, they have large significant impacts to the story.
It could be a hint.So what is that controller that looks the same except the eyes? Why wouldn't they just show the old one then.
Article: Interestingly, it was also confirmed that the Astro Bot DualSense controller is also returning to stores with a different twist on the touchpad although it wasn't said that that would be so we'll keep you posted.
Article: And since the first controller proved so popular, we have brought it back with a new joyful twist to the touch pad! We'll have more information to share soon, so be on the lookout for future updates.
I hope you're right. An interactive touch pad that changes colour while playing would be amazingIt could be a hint.
Check out the previews, some are expecting the twist to be revealed in future.

Looking at the Blog, it states the same thing.

Haven't started yet, E33 + DS2 are a lot of game time. Will though! Now that this is releasing in two days, I really hope that the fifth level that they're hiding the name of, or that surprise when you complete all of them the article mentioned, is a new Hero level. I would even take a fucking Knack Hero level.

If I were Sony, I'd release it really late to PC since AstroBot is the only good game they have right now.I'm surprised this isn't announced for PC yet. I'd love to get it.
Eh, not really. All the new added content are free, and except for Nintendo games, every game gets substantially cheaper over time*. So really it's like every other game out there. If you wanted to pinpoint 1 game, it's similar to No Man's Sky.This game is becoming similar to CP2077. No point in buying it right now when I can get it cheaper down the road with way more content. My sons obsessed with Lego Star wars right now but once he beats it maybe I'll pick it up.
Astros playroom was first release but not a real game just bonus content minigame demo for psvr users. Then rescue mission was the first real Astro game and still the best one they have done. The ps5 pack in demo was technically Astro 3 and the full game that's most recent was Astro 4.Astro bot 5!? When were 2 - 4 released???
An entire Stellar Speedway galaxy with five speed-running levels (from October 17, 2024 to November 14, 2024), a single Winter Wonder level (December 12, 2024), and a Vicious Void galaxy with ten challenging levels, including ones from the recent update (from February 13, 2025 to March 13, 2025; July 10, 2025).How many levels this game got since launch? I feel like they have launch a lot of new content.
Still the best game Sony's put out this gen (not that that's saying much)
so you know who finally caved hell yes.Didn't people complain about no Final Fantasy bots? The bot for completing High Inflation is Cloud
Yeah, basically astrobot is better than anything Sony ever did except for Demon's Souls Remake and TLOU1.It's an S tier platformer that's been bogged down with nostalgia via some robots that look out of place.
Astro Bot's good enough at what it does to exist without all of the throwbacks and PlayStation can't afford to be sentimental as an angry young brand.
PlayStation needs to keep new IP separate from existing IP and sell the hundreds of millions of people interested in PS1 and PS2 new DualSense PS2s with PSN.
They can sell everyone DualSense enhanced PS1 and PS2 games instead of packing PS1 and PS2 IP into x86 PS games.
I agree. I think the team is good enough to be able to create their own >Astro Bot< related material instead of having memberberries. They have clearly shown great creativity and skill so I think Sony should let them stand on their own feet. The next astro should ditch the museum feel. This isn't Nintendo. We are reaching finding things to celebrate and also it is a turn off to many who don't care about brand history. The bunduru game and this one BOTH are Sony worship games and it doesn't add much. The cool part is this latest one didn't need it, in fact it is slightly hindered by it. Any future Astrobot games should be stand alone titles without a Playstation museum in the background. That is the only thing holding it back(besides a few new jump moves) from really taking on Mario.
The entire PlayStation festa thing was actually decided by the development team, as Nicolas Doucet said.I agree. What I'm happy about when it comes to "the museum" though is seeing certain characters like those from Sly Cooper and Ape Escape. I carry a little spark of hope that those series will get sequels one day.
Wow, really? Had no idea, really seems like something that would have been decided from the top. Hopefully they've got it out of their system now.The entire PlayStation festa thing was actually decided by the development team, as Nicolas Doucet said.
