Several AIBs have confirmed that Nvidia has ended production of the 5070Ti

Several AIBs, including Asus, have told HU that production of the RTX 5070 Ti has stopped.
Retailers confirmed they have no more stock incoming.
The 5060Ti 16Gb has also been significantly reduced. Asus also confirmed this model is "End of Life". Leaving only 8Gb GPUs.

Again, the AI boom and memory shortage fucking up gaming.

This confirms the report from Videocardz, that nvidia is focusing on the 5060 and 5060Ti 8GB for 2026.

Can´t remember the last time I´ve read good news in the gaming hardware section. Since the first cryptoboom it`s been a constant downhill battle with one catastrophe ruining prices for consumers after the other.
 
That's lame, but I guess you get 2 of the worse cards if memory is limited.

Hopefully intel and amd secured enough, or there is enough stock to last the year.
 
Got my 5070Ti back in November when I built my new PC, but man… it still sucks seeing what's happening right now.. Back in the summer I was hoping for a Q1 2026 release for the Super cards since I was planning to build around the rumored 5070Ti Super, but yeah, a lot of things have changed for the worse since then.

Oh yeah, am I glad that I went for that 5080 between the holidays at a very good price. Now with all this and the DLSS4.5 stuff it just keeps getting better.

It needs to happen. You look at a game like 007 and its recommended 1080p specs (for a non-open world game) and you stratch your head what's going on, especially since previous Hitman games didn't have such major optimization issues.

And that's not even a game running on UE5 where it can get worse and shitty looking games can have gigantic requirements.

I was sitting on my 3080ti with the idea of waiting to see what the 6000 series will have to offer, but right now I'm almost starting to question if they will even release one.
Maybe by the time that lineup was supposed to come out they will go fully into "Fuck gaming" mode and start to serve only data centers.

I would say I feel sorry for those who didn't get a GPU, but I don't. There has been sufficient warning and have been available at MSRP for quite a while.

If AMD is smart, they will keep the 9070XT in production as it can EASILY fill this niche...assuming they can get GDDR6 memory. But Redstone recently proved to me that they still have dumbassery in them.

In fact, I can easily see myself selling off my 5070 Ti and replacing it with a 9070XT and make a handsome profit, while also regaining my ability to use Bazzite on my living room PC, now that we have functional DP-to-HDMI adapters that enable full HDMI 2.1 features.

It might simply be years before the 6000 series comes out. They might just ride the low RAM cards, while selling the occasional 5080+, until AMD, Qualcomm, Huawei, or Intel get too close ... Just to keep them honest. The GPU business now only exists to shield the AI business from competitors, just like their partnership with Nintendo only exists to make sure their competitors don't have free run in the console market.

im 3080ti owner too, figued i will wait bit longer and bankrupt myself with 6000 series upgrade in 2027 :messenger_astonished:

A 9070 XT is an excellent upgrade for you. Those can still be had for $600. If you can find a 5070 Ti, get it. Its quite a substantial performance increase and does give you access to better features.
 
I think this is just the beginning; I expect the low and mid-market segments to shrink as much as possible. Given the market situation and the AI vendors' expectations, they'll be forced to cut production of anything that brings in minimal profits in order to secure orders for vendors. Therefore, we expect, as it seems to me, similar steps from AMD in the near future.

P.S - I wouldn't want to be right...
 
I said it in a different thread but how are warrantees going to be honoured when these parts no longer exist. You buy it in November with 3 years and now 2 months later they are gone.

9070xt/9070 are the best value plays now. Nvidia is making themselves the bougie GPU maker now.

For the majority of gamers, its RT performance and FSR4 upscaling is all you really need.

Hell, I wouldn't be shocked if next gen Nvidia and AMD cards don't get released till say early 2028.

And yeah, I absolutely expect AMD to follow Nvidia in this.

AMD might have a small advantage here, as they are using GDDR6 for the 90x0 series. So older nodes might have less pressure from the AI market.
Nvidia is using GDDR7 for all models, except the 5050.

True, but we are still seeing DDR4 increases, for example, just not as egregious as DDR5. That said, this would be a great moment for AMD to take market share if they push it.

I am just skeptical considering most of the time AMD's plan amounts to Nvidia -$50. 9070XT is very much the exception right now at its MSRP so I guess we shall see.

Even on this forum there was a lot of talk about "fear mongering" and price manipulation. You're right, all the signs were there, people just didn't want to see it. This is still the beginning, btw, AMD will follow, console will follow, every electronic device we own will follow. We haven't come close to seeing the worst of this.

The best time to upgrade any of your stuff was 2 months ago, and if you still need anything and you aren't comfortable waiting years, the next best time is now.

The last time I had a GPU die during warranty, and they couldn't replace it with the card I purchased, I got the next model up. Of course this was with EVGA and there isn't a GPU maker left that compared to their customer service, but I'm legally they can't give you anything less powerful than what you already owned without refunding part of the cost.

Yep. This is the best advice. 9070XTs are about to be $700 real soon.

People talk about how much better DLSS is than FSR and while that is largely correct, most dont realize how close FSR4 actually is. FSR4 really is amazing and IMO actually does somethings better than DLSS, particularly ghosting I found to be better. Ray tracing on the 9070XT still sucks IMO, that was one area that I was disappointed. Redstone was a huge pile of shit and not what AMD needed right now.

Even with the excellent DLSS 4.5 I still find ghosting to be an issue. So much so, that I am wondering if I am not using the presets correctly, despite picking M in DLSS Swapper and in the Nvidia App.

It won't be long before the 16GB RTX5080 will be killed off too. Either that or a substantial price hike because nobody would want to have a RTX5080 with just 8GB.
 
If I were AMD, here is what I would do:

1. Keep the 9070XT at less than $700
2. Put everything you've got into fixing the lackluster Redstone and increase the ray tracing performance.
3. get FSR4 officially working on older gen GPUs.
