It's decent-ish. Solid 7/10 game so far. They've tried to make it anime Elden Ring on a budget and it shows. Lots of reused minibosses for enemies etc, little dungeons that look the same dotted about. But very mid-looking and has performance blips even on a PS5 Pro when it really shouldn't be.

I have a 5090 and a powerful CPU. It holds 60 fps, by running my PC at full throttle, with CPU temps spiking. Cyberpunk 2077 with path tracing uses my PC the same as this game does.
Maybe upcoming dedicated drivers will help, but I think it's just really heavy on the CPU especially.
And it shouldn't be because this is an anime game. DLSS doesn't even really help how this game is so cpu dependent. I blame the Japanese devs that don't know how to properly optimize. Ain't no way a 5090 should be running this game at full throttle and there's no raytracing.

Man, the character models and art style of the first game just got annihilated for no good reason. No disrespect to your character, you made the most of a bad situation. This new art style is junk. Can't believe they ruined the best part.I created my character today. The character creator is still my favorite since the first game. Really love all the things you can do.

And it looks like they had a much bigger budget because it looks pretty high quality. The first game, that I really loved, was definitely made on a tight budget. Here, I feel like this is going to be a more varied experience.
I really like the narrated introduction and the OST starts off at an excellent level as well. The OST of the first game was fantastic. Pretty optimistic.

Personally I was never fan of Code Vein's artstyle. When comes to anime aesthetics game like MHStories 3 is much more my style.

This game got DD2'd big time. I see myself playing Code Vein 1 after I finish this.
I like the combat in this game over it's predecessor but the level design and storytelling(unbelievably bad cringe anime material) suffer a LOT.

While CV2 plays great for my 4070 many are saying the optimization is not great. And You'll definitely notice pop-in on occasion and loading into some area's shows your companion character and sometimes your character initially in T-pose for a second or two.
Game feels rough overall but I'm having fun with it.
If you are talking about Nioh then I'll find out later. I hope they do a good job and not have a unoptimized game...but if RotR or Wo Long is any indication....

I picked this up since I enjoyed the first one enough and I was hankerin for some Soulslike content.
After getting my ass blasted in the Nioh 3 demo I also wanted something a lil more forgiving on the difficulty end and having a constant ai "summon" helps out immensely.

How much you enjoy it will depend entirely upon your opinions of said games.
I'll be surprised if I actually finish this, but I'm having fun exploring the map and finding/upgrading gear n shit.

I heard it worked to help performance but I dunno.
I am a bit iffy about wanting to throw money at it especially since I'd get it from another site since the Steam price is a bit rough.

lmao, I keep coming back to this thing, I thought I would have bounced off it by now.
The bike is so fuckin bad that I prefer to just hoof it everywhere, but the glide function can be useful for getting to map areas.
It's janky as all hell, but it's entertaining. There are Soulslikes aplenty, but this is the first Elden Ring take I've seen.
Dunno about censorship in this game, there are giant anime tits all over the place. The main quest giver is anime Lady D from REVIII. The shopkeeper for all the shops in the hub looks like the Dragons Crown chick. If the dialogue has been censored, I wouldn't know, as it is all terribly written anime horseshit that I fast forward through.
The music is pretty good, lots of somber piano tracks.

The main thing I am disappointed by in regards to the '' fanservice '' I guess is that A, outfits are totally inconsistent in terms of bust size it just drastically changes depending on what your character is wearing so what's the point of sliders even?
And B, there isn't a real boob slider it's a chest slider that changes the entire ribcage too so you get an enormous ribcage.......
Extremely bizarre honestly for an anime game like this in particular, even other games like Nioh and Dragons Dogma have a proper boob slider.
That aside how is the game running for you, can you keep a stable 60 at least?
And what are your specs?

Shit, my specs are base ps5 and it runs inconsistently at best. I find "janky" to be an overused term, but it really fits the bill here.
100% playable and enjoyable, but I know some gaffers go apeshit about their fps.
