What a genius!Read under my user tag . I tried to tell you !
You know we live in 2026, right?
Not 2013.
Seriously, you have your PC connected to Wi-Fi or a wired connection 24/7, but you find it incomprehensible to have a console connected to the internet?
It's all very absurd, guys.
I don't buy digital PlayStation games; I only have Battlefield V.
But if you buy PSN games, I assume you have even more reason to have your console connected to the internet.
Which makes the alarm being raised here simply ridiculous.
PC gamers laugh at the demise of phisical console games, about the price increase on console hardware and on consoles putting DRM measures for digital buys... yet they don't have phisical games, pay very high prices for the hardware and play on a plattfom/system that is basically walking DRM...
They still have time to remove this video from Youtube.

I can't wait for the PS6 launch to mirror the PS3 launch. They're just riding that success rocket right into the side of a cliff yet again.
This proves that you "PC gamers" don't care about using DRM.PC gamers also have access to GOG (with no DRM and offline installers)
Is it stupidity or intellectual dishonesty?
From fanboys? Can be both. I mean, just for not getting my joke, is 100% stupidity.
I have a friend like that, he makes unfunny jokes and nobody laughs... but he thinks everyone doesn't understand his jokes.
Do you call him stupid or intellectual dishonest often? Because I would rather have an enemy than a friend like you.
Most of my library is from GOG, i may even rebuy a game if it later releases there (did with Doom 2016 and Eternal most recently). If i have to buy from steam, i always check for any intrusive drm. This proves that you "PC gamers" don't care about using DRM.
If you did care, everyone would buy from GOG and Steam would have already gone bankrupt.

? Why u answering with the same quote? This proves that you "PC gamers" don't care about using DRM.

Glad you are finally seeing itWhat a genius!
Or if you do, remember to build it responsiblyRegardless of the legitimacy of this, consider this a reminder to not have much of a backlog.

So it's confirmed or denied?
Lmao no way this is real, I would have own zero games then, I haven't played on PS5 in like a year.
It's a bug.
It's a bug.
Still, this can't be true, not how it's worded in the OP, they can't just remove a license after 30 days offline, that would be the worst DRM in the history of bad DRMs.It's for new purchases made recently.

If removing the batter makes the games stop working - it was intentional.
Ah, then it's a nothing burger unless you're in a submarine or living in some "Why would I want to live there?" place. They are not removing it, but you won't be able to use those games unless you connect online and console checks the license status.
If it was intentional they would have applied this retroactively

It will suck in the future though if servers are down but they might tweak the check-ins before pulling the plug.
"People on the internet are dumbasses, more at 11."
Well, that should be the end of it.
to be fair steam is drm and you dont own games either. you are at the mercy of steam being around and letting you install those games. also there is still an issue that randomly occurs where you need to login sometimes after a while or you cant play the game. Although there are other options on pc where you actually do own the game like gog,etc or worse comes to worse you sail the seas.Meanwhile, steam > offline mode, indefinitely able to play my downloaded games.
PC stays winning

Yeah this right here. PC is becoming more and more attractive all the time despite its flaws.PC gamers also have access to GOG (with no DRM and offline installers), pirated copies of games (with no DRM and offline installers) and library of software dating back into the 80s with no artificial "generation" walls preventing them from playing old software (try playing your digital PS3 games on PS4/PS5).
Every game (even denuvo ones) gets archived at some point. When Sony decides to flip the switch...

Then you're locked out until it's back on I guess. It's not a common thing so I wouldn't be concerned about it. 20 years from now it might be a bigger deal. What happens if PSN is hacked and goes offline for 24 days or more? This happened, it's not science fiction.
Maybe they legally can't do that, they just released new EULA with "we can do anything we want" type of laungage.
