Civ 7, the first Civ game I have no interest in buying. I have played every single Civ game since the damn DOS game. I seriously have no idea what they could even do at this point to get me to buy it. This shit could use a free month or something so I could test it out first.

The only Civ game I haven't bought at launch (in this case, not at all) since Civilization II...

That says a lot.

Me too. I've purchased every Civ game at launch (except maybe Civ I which I think I bought a month or two after launch), but not Civ VII. I'd simply rather keep playing Civ VI than the horror show they made Civ VII.

Allowing us to play as ONE civ through the whole game is a great step forward. Now if they add the modern/info age back into the game I'll truly consider buying Civ VII, but not before.

I do hope they learned their lesson though, and that whenever Civ VIII comes out its much more faithful to the series than VII is/was.

The game has been out over a year and reviews are awful. They really messed up and may not be able to fix this. The UI is what really needs to be fixed from the sounds of it.

The game isn't terrible by any means but it's very clear to me that they tried to replicate a lot of Humankinds gameplay systems and concepts. This adaptation was fine in some areas but in other areas just made no sense for a Civ game. Somehow Humankind just ended up being the more enjoyable game...

What really pissed me off the most was when a victory condition was met the game ended. No more 'one more turn' like every Civ game before it. Like what in the actual fuck. Oh and the game basically stops at the end of WWII, so it feels like a ton of game is still missing or absent vs every other CIV that has come before it... like its being held back for DLC at some point.
