The Dark Pictures Anthology franchise began back in 2019 with 'Man of Medan', and is set to continue. Supermassive Games appears to have teased a sequel in Directive 8020, its latest game to date.

The game's bonus menu contains a teaser titled 'The Craven Man', which shows a cassette inserted into a VCR. The video playing on an old TV displays supernatural and horrifying images in an atmosphere reminiscent of 'The Ring'.

Finally, the dates 1998, 2019, 2028, and 2029 appear at the end of the clip. Is this a clue about the game's plot or its release date? It's still too early to tell.

I mean, it was expected considering they've been teasing following entries in each of their games. But it's curious if this series will even continue. I believe Directive 8020 is the first game which wasn't published by Namco Bandai but self-published by Supermassive and looks like it's not doing so great

They have at least 4 more planned, including this one, that are known since 2022.

I'm aware of leaks, but my point isn't exactly about what they have planned, but how many of them will actually see a light of day. Cause those are like two different questions. And I'm gonna be honest with you, I don't think they're doing that well. They don't even have a publisher anymore who could fund those and Directive 8020 doesn't look like a launch that may move the needle in their favor
