dont get me wrong im a big fan of gaming and all consoles, im going to get the xbox360 and i have it pre-ordered, this isnt a bash 360 thread.. but im just saying i wish it looked better

Are they even trying anymore? Seriously, if you want a "true" next generation console, I'd suggest waiting for the PS3 and/or Revolution (both for me); if you're satisfied with playing games which appear to share more qualities to "last (current) generation" games as opposed to next generation games, then by all means, blow $400+ dollars on an Xbox 360 at launch. I know the Xbox 360 has several games which truly look great, like Gears of War and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, but last I checked, they aren't launch titles.

I'm perfectly satisfied with my current lineup of games and see no reason to upgrade to an Xbox 360 so soon... I know not everyone thinks that way, but that's just how I feel.

Honestly, I sometimes wonder how many 360 developers are secretly masochists...why release screenshots like these that are just going to be torn apart from all four corners of the internets

Go back to fapping to Snake, Junior.

LOLZ at calling the REV a next gen machine though.

Wow.. Craptacular, why even release screens that bad?

Yeah it's all the x360's fault that some of the games look bad by next-gen standards. Dvelopers have nothing to do with that at all..

Current gen 1.5!

(re the bolded section): I think you need to check again.

This sucks more ass than the ninjas that fly out of your butt when you play the game.

Are the ninjas on fire?

Apart from the sky it looks horrible. I'm not interested in the game anyway after hearing about how much they've changed (ruined) compared to Amped 2. Shame, really, because I really like Amped 2

Please tell me why you do not consider the Revolution a next generation console. I'd really like to hear this.

First tell me why you think it is and the 360 is not. You started this nonsense, Junior.

Just awful...

Barely an upgrade from Amped 2. You'd think we'd at least see some high-poly objects and models, self-shadowing, or HDR lighting...

What's worse, they can't rely on the "HD jump!" this time, as Amped 2 already supported 720p.

It's kinda like the Dreamcast situation, unfortunately. "Going first" has its downfalls...

By all accounts it'll be weaker powerwise than both the Ps3 and x360. In anycase... Stop troll-jacking the thread!

Fine, I'll leave this thread peacefully without any more negative remarks towards the Xbox 360.

Amped 2 still kicks SSX's (even On Tour) butt in the graphics department. It's a shame that they're screwing up the third game.

Didn't the first Amped look pretty good for an Xbox game?

The Amped series is the best looking snowboarding series of this generation. I don't know what the heck is up with these devs.

Who cares. The game sounds retarded anyway. Way to ruin a great series.

It's a different team working on it, isn't it?

That might explain the ass-backwards changes they've made to Amped 3

Bingo, however, I'm trying to build a collection, so I need to swallow the bullet on this price

WarLox, what exactly what the point of that? The SSX games are extremely good...but also extremely different. Amped was filling a void in the snowboard genre by providing something a bit more down to earth...SSX is an entirely different type of experience.

well then there seems to be a ton of lazy devs developing for the 360.

They have had to scale the game as the development kits went from Alpha to Beta and then to Final. The thing is, we don't even know when these pics were made.
