button placements, shape and speakers are exactly the same. if it's the same technology, get it. the monitor is very good for the price.

oops, chiefvalue, who is owned and operated by newegg (go figure), has the same monitor for 2 bucks cheaper and free shipping...

I don't know where Westinghouse LCDs stand in terms of quality, but I recently picked up a 17" Samsung 12ms LCD for $250, plus it came with a $50 rebate from Newegg. Problem is, I was really dissipointed in the backlight distribution and black levels. Guess what? You have to pay out of pocket to return something to them for replacement or refund, so I sold it to a friend, then turned around and bought a 21" Sony Trinitron CRT. Yes, I pooped out my organs putting it on my desk, but on my desk it shall remain, here and forever! Point is, it's probably always a good idea to buy something like this at a brick & mortar store. That way you can see the image quality firsthand and it'll be ALOT easier to return, if need be. I say go check it out...

I went to grab it since it had pretty good quality the first time I was there. Passed by their "open items" table. Saw a 17" compaq crt for 50 bucks, had it tested it there, worked fine. Got to the cashier bought it, and got handed a 50 buck rebate from compaq. So free monitor day is officially March 28 for me.
