That makes sense. So what the hell are the Rockets doing? What do they get out of this deal?

They are supposed to tank at this point. This season is beyond saving.
TWill is an elite athlete. Teams will always take chances on a guy like him. He basically looks like a player.

To make room for Terrence Williams' arrival in three-way w/Lakers and Nets, Houston to deal Jermaine Taylor to SAC for future second-rounder

That was fast :lol I guess TWill will take Taylor's spot in the rotation until Brooks gets back.

We're getting Jermaine Taylor!?

Fuck yeah. I've had my eye on the kid since he was drafted. Upset that he never got that much playing time in Houston.

Say good bye to your playing time, Luther. :lol

I don't understand this trade for Houston. Nets are stockpiling for melo, maybe even Chris Paul, and the Lakers shed salary. Houston takes on TWill? I wonder how they came to the conclusion that he's worth a first? I would love to see what system Houston uses to scout players.

Kinda funny seeing fans of all teams involved getting all giddy over one 5MPG scrub getting replaced by another 5MPG scrub.

Hopefully this means that Kings are considering sitting Tyreke out for a while. No point in acquiring Taylor otherwise.

Looks like Bargnanni's practicing for his Broadway debut, "Dr. Jumper and Mr. Brick"

And let's just say he drank the potion tonight

New Jersey also has Golden State's 2012 first rounder.

It's conditional

If the Warriors make the playoffs in 2011, the Nets will get Golden State's first-round pick that year. If not, the Nets get Golden State's pick in 2012, as long as it is not 1 through 11, or the Warriors' pick in 2013, as long as it is not 1 through 10. If the Nets are not awarded any of those picks, they will instead acquire Golden State's second-round picks in 2013 and 2015.

Same here. I don't get it for Houston....

Who are the Nets kidding? Why the fuck would Melo bother with NJ if he cares about winning? He can win games in NY and get paid the same way the Nets would.

The Nets are nowhere near contending. It'd be like a star player choosing the clippers when they are guaranteed a spot on the Lakers the next season.

What a stupid fucking trade. Lakers get the short end of the stick. Joe Smith? Really?
Smith>>>>>>>>>>>>>>The Machine and they save at least 5million. So really got 1 pick from houston for TWill and the other pick to take on Sasha because he's that bad.

They probably just used one of the 18 first rounders they got from the Knicks. It's no big deal to them.
They got one pick (next year's) and the articles mention Houston's pick.

Sasha plays 5 garbage minutes, 5 minutes that any number of the bench players can replace. They need a big man who can play a few minutes by doing nothing but put his hands up on defense. Buss doesn't want to commit to any more guaranteed salary so this move makes a lot of sense.

Worst team defense ever.

Hall of Fame coaching. Yes it was just 12-4 Bobcats lead. Hall of Fame coaching.
