Tonight was the "are we there yet" game for the Knicks and no, there are not there. Still need to go after Melo.

And WTF at the Sixers reporter! Meredith something. HOT HOT HOT

Probably the best looking reporter in the NBA right now. (was watching the Lakers x Sixers game on the small screen).

After the loss to Boston and now a blowout by the Heat, the Knicks are probably ready to break house to get Melo.

Gaf is amazing, keep hating.
Do you not know your Knicks-Age?
They loved Eddy Curry and wanted him to touch it, Steve, just 2 years ago.

I remember less than 24 hours ago Lakers-age was telling me that the new Lamar Odom was here to stay...
The signs are there that he'll indeed most likely keep this up. But It's still Lamar Odom, nothing is written in stone.

But I'm staying as optimistic as I can.

You don't think he was a prime contributor the last 2 years? Wtf?

He was your 3-4th best player each year.
Did you watch the Thunder/Celtics series last year? He went Ghost.

He beasts on some teams and disappears against others. This isn't groundbreaking news dude...

Disagree. When the Celtics are healthy Miami has no shot of beating them. The Celtics will just grind the Heat down. Miami has no answer for the Celtics big men or point guard. Who you play is as important as when you play an opponent. How many good defensive teams has Miami played in this run?

I would love to play them now cause this is a different team right now. I don't know if we will beat them, they are excellent, I just know this team is playing different than it was then.

Wilson Chandler and Landry Fields? You're fucking crazy bro

If the Knicks won both of these games they'd still want Melo. It's a dream to think that they could beat the Lakers or Celts in a playoff scenario without a third.

peterb0y, I've always been very consistent on my attitude towards both the Knicks and the Heat, as have many others.
Agreed- and you're not the only one, there are alot of NBA agers that I respect because they're levelheaded and they know their shit. But go back and look through the posts during the Knicks game, shit was ridiculous. And those same people are coming back and discrediting this win. Can't go both ways.

I've pretty much maintained for a while now that while this game, the Utah game, and the NO game to a degree were all games to get up for/good wins, the real measuring stick will be how we do against Dallas and LA. I think we've improved, and itll be interesting to see how Miller fits in, but who know til we play truly elite teams. Regardless though, tonight was a great win and the haters can't take it away from us.

We did as well as you could expect....in the first half. We shit bricks in the second half. We simply don't have the horses to run with them. We have no one to defend Wade and Lebron. I didn't watch the game ( will catch the replay ) did they zone them up at all??

That's because the Heat aren't playing them.

I still can't believe Miami beat the best team in the NBA(Knicks). Why bother watching the rest of the season now. Miami is the best team in the NBA right now. Look at all the new found chemistry they have.

Washington
Detroit
Cleveland
Atlanta
Milwaukee
Utah
Golden State
Sacramento
New Orleans
Cleveland
NY Knicks

Look at this amazing run by Miami right now. It's stunning how many contenders Miami has beaten. Miami is easily the best team in the NBA after beating these teams. No reason to watch the rest of the season now. Miami has the championship locked up.

No no I know what you meant and its a valid point but I think its pretty ridiculous to not call a starter and your 3rd-4th best player a prime contributor.

I forgot that pheenix went to the game.

Massive orgasm coming from him shortly.

I can't wait for his reaction. What a game for him to go to. Though I hope he kept it cool, cause I fear for his safety if not.

Word. You would like to play them when they are missing Shaq, JO, Rondo, D West and Perkins. No shit.

Zero zone attempts. Insane. Turiaf only played 7 minutes, either he's hurt or D'Antoni hates having a bench.

Knicks can't (and won't even attempt to) stop anybody.

Amare won't play like an MVP every night. This time last year, Raptors-age was high off Chris Bosh's MVP start too - that shit didn't last. Same thing is going on in New York right now with Amare.

Like we haven't been shitting on the Knicks at every fucking chance. Come the fuck on new guy

True, it's just hard not to want to pretend they are ready even though they are a full season at the very least from being ready for even the first round. The concept of hard fought MSG battles between the Knicks and various powerhouse teams makes me excited, as it does other people I am sure, and leads to NY getting praise they aren't ready for. The Heat have the pieces to prove they are good against stronger teams (and will have to in the coming weeks) but the Knicks dont...yet.

Washington, Detroit, Cleveland, Atlanta, Milwaukee, Utah, Golden State, Sacramento, New Orleans, Cleveland again, and New York

Yeah, Miami has arrived

No zone? Seriously? WTF...i have troubles in 2K trying to matchup with ahtletes and shooters so i go into a 3-2...Felton up top and Chandler and Fields on the wings..enough length and speed to defend well. At least to get a few stops.

Sigh. Oh well, GG bros. Cavs are next, we need to destroy those fools!

Joel Anthony
GRADEA

Maybe it's a sign of the apocalypse, but you can attribute the Heat's defensive clampdown on the Knicks and Amare Stoudemire to Joel Vincent Anthony. Stoudemire was smothered by Anthony at the elbow, and Anthony's quick feet kept Amare out off the paint. For good measure, Anthony converted an open dunk (!) and blocked three shots.

*faints*
next Juwan howard gets a double double

Atlanta 16-11

Utah 18 - 8

New Orleans 15- 10

New York 16 - 10

These aren't bad teams. To win against all of them in a row (some of which the Heat has lost previously to) is impressive. Don't take that away from them. In addition, ten of the eleven games were won by 10 points or more.

Umm I apologize if you didn't understand me. I was saying if he wasn't a prime contributer en route to our next chip I was going to be very disappointed with him, especially with him playing at the level he is at now.

Odom has been invaluable to us for the majority of his stay. But he's always had those tendencies to disappear against certain teams, and it would really suck to watch him do that again playing the way he is now.

There won't ever be a true hard fought game in New York because they're never even going to attempt to play defense. Ask suns fans - every close big game against a team with a talent level equal or greater ended in them getting daggered

we also won all those games by double digits

I still like the Knicks' matchup with the Heat. This game didn't change my mind at all. Lebron hit every jumpshot, Heat got every call (though this may be consistent), Arroyo and Chalmers were ballin', Knicks missed half their FTs, and Amare missed a shit-ton of layups. Felt like a pretty fluky win for the Heat.

If the Knicks make a midseason trade, whether for Melo or for smaller pieces, I think they would do terrific against the Heat.

sure bro, i'm not sure how many ways you can slice a 22 point win as "fluky."

Impressive how?

New York has been trash, New Orleans is a fucking mess (I know I know, wins/losses - but its a dead team, and its been dead since Okafor deflowered Bosh months ago) and they're so bad the Knicks beat them, and Utah you've been given credit for but still NONE of those teams play any defense. Congrats - you've successfully not fucked up the cakewalk portion of your schedule. Gold stickers for everyone on the bandwagon.

Atlanta is a terrible fucking team. They just lost to the Celtics who are missing two starters and three backups. New York is a mediocre team that plays zero fucking defense. The only good team they beat was Utah.
