Was hoping for a slightly easier opponent, but we'll take the challenge. Being an underdog this tournament hasn't been unusual for us, and even if we lose, I don't expect we'll go down as easily as many think.

this is the best result from a bad situation (I think alfraud got himself like an extra 50K this year for winning the pac-32587439572439 tournament and making the steve-16) I'm glad they got florida this year
in previous years, obviously not the case--not that fouland did anything with multiple nba starters / stars against cal's sat prodigy and the stiffs either

Lol. I'm still wondering what their AD (Foley) was smoking by keeping Muschamp around for another year. He's still the best AD in the country, but he had to have been on something that day when he retained Muschamp.
We don't sell out enough home games or generally have the attendance to call ourselves that.

So true. That team was loaded.
O'Dome has actually been really packed and loud this year. Our fans are also actually traveling to games, but for some weird reason they are pretty quiet. Takes a monster play for them to get loud. It's probably because barely any students travel because they are only allotted like 50 tickets or something.

yeah, we've been pretty good in recent years beating George Mason, Norfolk State, and Dunk City, but one of the original Cinderellas (Gonzaga) got their fame for beating us in the Sweet 16 back in 1999.

I don't think the four UF seniors are going to let that happen. Not that Dayton doesn't pose a serious obstacle (they're a deep team and play a style that has given Gators fits in the past e.g. Auburn), but I have confidence the Gators will gut this out and advance to the Final Four.
