Why do I feel like in reality this is going to be a cumbersome novelty? I'd rather do everything he's doing, just on screen, in the game, rather than on my coffee table lol.

Not surprised lol. I'm a sucker for tech, I admit, but I think it's pretty cool. My fear is that it doesn't work that well but if it gets there some day, with a decent FOV, I'd be there.
