Looks like we've entered a period where games are dropping quicker than we can cross them off. What are you playing, what's being backlogged - what are you still working through? Too many games to pick this month or squeeze into the poll list but either way games galore!

Previous months
January 2025
February 2025

On April I'll still be playing the Ps5 version of Death Stranding 1 Directors cut and some Astrobot. I might get Indiana Jones but Im saving funds for Death Standing 2, Doom Dark Ages and Stellar blade x nikke dlc, but hopefully I will have extra funds.

Another big month. I hope I'll finish Khazan by the time Indy comes out and still need to wrap up KCD2 (already have 150 hours clocked!). Expedition 33 is another day 1, Lunar at some point, not a priority since I had the collection on PS1 but it's one of the JRPG GOATs so it's a must buy. Forza eventually, they should have never released it so close to Indy.

I am Become Bilbo Baggins
Pokemon Shining Pearl.

More forcing myself than playing it. I wanted to play every Pokemon game on the Switch, and like all the others this one is a POS. It's actually the worst Pokemon game I've played.

All they had to do was remake gen 4 using Platinum as a template, as well as remaking in the Gen 8 engine. Instead we got a "faithful" remake. Awful.

It's funny that the best Pokemon game on the Switch is Pokken Tournament. A fighting game made by Namco.

Backlog for me. Will probably finish The Bureau (Steamdeck) and start playing Robocop (PS+) and Space Marine 2 (PS5).

Backlog. I'm not letting myself buy anything new until I finish Assassins Creed Shadows. But if I'm going to be honest, a lot of what I have been playing has been 3DS games. I found my old one and just learned how you can put free games on it. I am addicted to Picross 3D right now.

ac shadows + last of us part 2 remastered

and then gollum. probably spiderman 2 after that

indiana jones, already 100% completion on game pass. great game. ps5 people you're in for a treat. if it gets Dualsense support on PC along with ps5 launch, I might install it again and play a bit to see how it feels. I also finished it just before DLSS 4 got released so dualsense + dlss 4 could make me play the game just for fun. but I wouldn't complete it again

My goal is not to buy games before I finish AC Shadows and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

I absolutely love the Yakuza series, it's basically my favorite, right after From Software games

I barely got to play Hawaii because I keep getting distracted by new game releases

Edit; I'm willing to make an exemption for The Last of Us Part 2 🫡

Mostly a backlog month like always.
I'm playing through Nine Sols right now, once I'm done with that I'll probably check out Robocop which I bought on the recent sale (before it being announced for Ps+:messenger_unamused:).
And then towards the end of the month I'm really interested in Clair Obscur, which I'll probably pick up unless there's something catastrophically wrong with it

Mostly backlog. Lunar remastered is the only "new" game I've had pre-ordered. I want Indy on PS5 but played it on Game Pass so probably gonna hold off until a sale. If I have the time I'll probably pick up South of Midnight too late April. Looks very good and is only 30 bucks.

Otherwise, I have a hell a lot of games in rotation. Currently playing Dead Space, Suikoden, Lords of Shadow, Lords of the Fallen, Visions of Mana and Heavy Rain. I also started a new playthrough on Elden Ring because I want to do the DLC. So yeah, plates full at the moment 😋

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
I'm definitely picking up Clair Obscur, and probably the Lunar Remastered Collection if I can get my hands on a physical copy

South of midnight
Clair obscure
Stilll gonna be playing marvel vs capcom collection

intending to finish takes of arise. I feel like I’m gonna forget how parts of the combat system works if I leave it alone for too long. So I’m gonna wrap up that playthrough plus it’s LC before I start anything new. Than I’m jumping straight into clair obscure, followed by south of midnight. They will probably take me Atleast two months to finish between them. In the meantime I suppose I’ll also be spanking all the…. Ahem…. Newcomers…… on forza horizon 5. Easy credits. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Man I really want to get into my backlog at some point….. cyber punk, the two plagues tale games and system shock remaster keeps calling me….. but other games keep pulling me away!

AC Shadows
Monster Hunter Wilds
Path of Exile 2
Arma Reforger

Absolutely nothing in April that interests me.
In fact, the first upcoming release I might buy would be Death Stranding 2 in June.

DragoonKain

Neighbours from Hell
AC Shadows, Atomfall, Talos Reawakened(the OG is an all-time favorite of mine), Beyond the Ice Palace 2, Claire Obscure(will buy it, might not play it til May though), Lunar Remastered(will buy, but prob won't play in April) and Tormented Souls 2.

I don't know if Tormented Souls 2 is actually coming out in April, but my current order has it listed as in April. Won't be surprised if I get an order update for later in the year though.

AC Shadows, FF7 Rebirth, and then to try again Jedi Fallen Order before jumping on Jedi Survivor.

And using cloud streaming only on my Portal, the Man who Erased His Name.

Backlog I guess.

CP77 - With the recent steam sale I picked up a few games - notably the DLC phantom liberty - I started playing a new game having "finished" my first run through on release (PC) - decided to start a new character and have sunk about 40 hours in this new run - just got to where I want to start the DLC and pretty much blown away how much better the game is now.

Destiny 2 - I've always been hooked and enjoying the ARC fest my builds are enjoying and really liking that this episode is all about the Dreadnaught - great memories.

Can of wormholes - puzzle game which I'm finding more frustrating then I though I would - its quirky and like the 'hint' system as it doesn't actually spoil the puzzle - just teaches you the current puzzles mechanic if you haven't seen it previously

SKALD - against the black priory - been watching this and finally picked it up on sale.

Diablo IV - season 8 - maybe

potentially: (if renew GP for a month) - Avowed, Indy, Atomfall, Clair obscure.

Having a great time in gaming right now.

Suikoden 2.

Then it's open. Maybe rise of ronin or the yakuza set in old Japan.

Tried playing elden ring again since launch and I was getting my ass kicked in the beginning area. My skills reset to zero! So maybe seikro instead of elden cause it's shorter and I enjoyed my time with it

What time is it?
I'm super interested in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Not sure if I'll do that via Gamepass or just purchase outright. I'll also get the physical version of Lunar Remastered Collection.

People are disappointed with Civ 7, i think it has a very good foundation it can build on. I like it.

I preorder Fatal Fury, but I’m starting to hate the DLC with fighting games. You buy season 1 just to wait for new characters to unlock. Season 2 gets announced and you gotta spend another $20-$30 for it. You already spent around $100 on a fighting game and you have this vanilla version in two years unless you give them more money.

I’ve bought the well known fighters and collections. I’ve got Capcom’s newest collection preordered and ready. I got the platinum in the MvC collection. I’m just tired of the money drain fighting games have become and SNK will be no different.

I’ll be getting Lunar collection and I already paid $10 for the Days Gone upgrade.

Backlog I’ve got Xenoblade Chronicles X, Yu-Gi-Oh! Collection, and Saga Frontier 2 Remastered.

Looking like absolutely nothing for me. Ratatan was said to come out in April but i've heard nothing about a finalized release date.

That's fine as it can be a backlog clearing month.

Never heard of South of Midnight before looking at this list but it seems interesting.

Might as well try it out since it seems like I'll be hanging onto gampass until I finish the new Doom anyway.

I really want to try out Claire Obscure but waiting for some trusted feedback/reviews.

I've put up some shopping notifications for Metroid Prime Remake as N0S N0S made some irrefutable, thought provoking, arguments as to why that game is good. Hopefully I'll get my hands on it soon-ish.

But first I need to get over my addiction to Pathfinder: WotR.
