Switch 2 was off to a cracking launch - bit of a lull this month with maybe 2/3 peak titles - so where are your dollarydoos going in July Gaf? And your time!

Previous months
January 2025
February 2025
March 2025
April 2025
May 2025
June 2025

Patapon I guess? What a shitty month. Although that might be a me problem considering I don't know half the titles in the list.

Probably System Shock 2 from June, I definitely won't be rushing that game and my recent second playthrough of SS1 took over 30 hours.

Eriksholm is definitely missing from the list, looks like a very solid candidate for the fans of stealth games.

After playing the demo … let's f-ing go!

Also hopefully platinum Spider-man 2 like I did the other two games. And I have to restart Expedition 33 because life got busy and I had to put it down for a couple weeks. Such an amazing game. I'm on the fence in regards to Death Stranding 2.

Might give Death Stranding a 3rd try, lol. And given how long that takes, that would go well into July. If that fails again, I probably treat myself and buy Stellar Blade PC.

Finish FF7 Rebirth (currently in chapter 13), Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch 2, and then see if I want to continue AC Shadows. And of course Donkey Kong

While I like to bounce between new games and older stuff in my library I have a feeling fantasy life will remain glued in my switch for the foreseeable future it's consumed my soul & I can't leave it alone. It's stardew valley levels of addictive. Really should come with a health warning lol.

Is it as grindey as they say towards the end?

Yes and no, it's like the 3DS one where the end game you need certain materials but to get them you need to be high level which means grinding a lot as some stuff is behind level caps that you need to be at for items to drop or to be able to make stuff.

The dangerous part is the game makes it where you have so much fun stuff to do you don't realise your grinding that much. One quick go to do a specific thing turns into a multi hour tangent of doing a bunch of stuff.

The most grind reliant part is when you get to late end game where you can craft equipment to bind certain stats where you can remake to reroll the stats and keep the good ones and make them stack making stupidly powerfully broken gear. Stuff like been able to make it where a piece of gear has a 20% boost to making rare items drop. Make it into a full set of 5 items and equip the lot then you have basically 100% drop for and rare item drops. Stuff like that makes it a game that will last a loooong time especially with level 5 adding new content to it.

Donkey Kong and Shadow Labyrinth on the Switch 2

Extended gameplay. Shadow Labyrinth looks like it will be just as good or better than Hollow Knight.

DK Bananza the big day one for me, and Tony Hawk as my wife wants to try it (very rare).

Also interested in these smaller type releases:

Islanders: New Shores - great unwind / chill out game, and it's cheap.
Shadow Labyrinth - could be a good Metroidvania but will watch for reviews, comes out the day after DK so won't be a day one
Ninja Gaiden Ragebound - looks awesome and demo was a blast, very likely a dayone.

All on my Switch 2!

I pre-ordered Wuchang, and Ragebound. I'll probably stick to my backlog before starting either game. I'm behind on games like E33, Khazan, BG3, etc...

Already pre-ordered Donkey Kong, and might pick up Shadow Labyrinth if reviews seem good.
