That's right, it was 20 years ago today that Mike Tyson bit off part of Holyfield's ear, stopping their highly-anticipated rematch (and, I believe, the most-watched PPV n history up until then) just 8 minutes after it began.

This was literally the greatest PPV spectacle I ever watched. And I had been waiting for years to see the fight because Holyfield was custom engineered by god to frustrate Tyson's style.

Funny coincidence. My mom sent me a package of stuff she found when cleaning (they're moving) including a bunch of autographs my dad got for me as a kid. Most of them were immediately recognizable (Ric Flair, Sting, Razor Ramon, Mr. Wonderful, The Smoking Gunns and Lord Steven Regal), but the last two I couldn't make out. Turns out one of them was Evander Holyfield.

Guy had a rough life.

Granted we still have to hold him responsible for his actions, but it wasn't easy for him growing up (or even in his adult life).
