ok, on rookie i can hit a good percentage of free throws but from starter level on up, its impossible. Any one find the trick to sinking these? Its costing me games bigtime when I go 0-18 or so freethrows. H E L P !

on a more serious note... it's one of the game's worst features, if you can even call it that. i don't even think i've made double digit free throws on this game, and i've had it since launch.

I had trouble at first,but I got the hang of it,it's just one constant motion,you really don't want to the push the stick all the way down or all the way up.

I don't think so....it just required a light touch on the L and R triggers...

Live 360 free throw is BROKEN!!!

sucks because they foul me all the time so I get nothing...computer seems to hit free throws at will. Lose games by five points because you are 2-16 at the line sucks.....and why all the missed layups? frickin game cheats too.

I think it's ridiculous because it gives you no indication of what you're doing wrong, so you don't even know how to correct yourself w/o a lot of guesswork.

How to make free throws in NBA Live:
1) Transform you copy of NBA Live into NBA 2K6 by exchanging at a store near you
2) Get fouled in 2K6
3) Pull back on the right stick and release like every other shot in the game

In all seriousness, try pushing up sooner rather than later in Live. Right about when the the ball is at the shooters head. Most errors are late.

I still don't get how people didn't get used to the Live FT system. It took me 2 or 3 games and I made about 80% Once that elbow reaches its peak, smoothly push the stick back up. The system definitely sucks (2K6 FTW) but it's nothing you can't get used to.

please explain in more detail for those of us who have a 0% free throw percentage.
