doing this test for a friend...

system:
windows xp
amd 64bit 3000+
1gb ram
radeon 9550

ran 3dmark05 and got a score of 1124. to me that seems like a low score considering the system but i know very little when it comes to scores for this test so im not sure. what do you guys think?

also he has two 512mb cards in slots 3 and 4. should they be in slots 1 and 2 or it doesnt matter?

Maybe the 9550 is a bottleneck of sorts, causing the low score?

Something along the lines of "Your PC is as good as the weakest part" or something.

As for the RAM, I don't think it's really required you put them in slots 1 and 2, but maybe you should for old times sake.

You might need them to be in 1 & 2 for dual channel (faster), but you should read the motherboard manual for that because each board is different. The 9550 is definately the weakest link by far and that score is actually better than I would have expected for that card.
