Haroon Rashid Aswat -- reportedly held today in Zambia - The Foreign Office confirmed it was seeking consular access to a British national reported to be in custody in Zambia. "We haven't yet seen the man in question and until we do we will be unable to confirm his identity," a spokesman said. The Daily Mail reports that he may have made more than 20 calls to the wouldbe bombers.


There have also been two women arrested at Liverpool Street tube station in a random bag search -- they tried to flee in response to the request and somehow didn't get shot

Nothing to worry about, those were small bombs to create some panic and nothing more. Every summer ETA puts some bombs here and there to scare the tourists.

I think we (Britain) have some advantages in terms of global reach in investigations, especially where it covers commonwealth countries.
