Some are good, some aren't so great.

Should be 'Top 50 Indie/low-budget music videos of 2005', really.

Would let Tony Parker sleep with his wife
why is there no hip-hop/R&B on there?!?!

Juelz Santana's video for Shottas is the greatest video all year!

It happens that many indie/low-budget music videos are much more creative than most of the stuff pumped by MTV Brainwashing Corp. Some of them aren't exactly cheap, I am pretty sure that Gorillaz and Aphex Twin's were kind of expensive.

Rubber Johny is still creeping the fuck out of me, BTW.

so there are two videos for Gold Mine Gutted? I saw a version where Conor is just writing stuff onto a glass wall.

I realize that. But as much as I love the Wolf Parade album, the video for 'Shine A Light' is pretty shit. M83 video sucks too (song is great, of course).

I get moist thinking about the lead singer of the Cardigans.

Thier video for "My Favorite Game" is still one of my all-time favs.

There was a period when the music video was in its death throes. MTV2 stopped its open format. MTV only played from a pool of 50-60 high-end label acts, whose videos were prohibitively expensive.

Thankfully, we're experiencing a renaissance mostly low-budget, imaginative music videos, mostly from indie-minded bands. I too am disappointed that hip-hop is under-represented in this list, though.

So what Channel plays these types of videos? Everytime I turn to MTV2,Fuse, etc, its nothing but hip hop. If only My cable company carried Austin Music Network.

MTVU probably plays quite a few of these.

There's a show called Subterranean on MTV2. That's who shows it.
