Didn't see a topic on this, so hey how ya doing.

Gamerush started a 50% off select (Basically anything still full priced) new Nintendo games. Started today.

Four Swords and DKJB are both the games only versions, although it might be YMMV, because the gamerush I tried didn't have the box versions.

I finally picked up MP2E, and am probably going back for DKC2. First time I've been to a Gamerush, seems insanely good stuff. They even have multiple new copies of Metal Arms and VJ2, and it'll be hell to resist those.
 
Just a point of question/clarification:

GameRush is the name of the in-Blockbuster-stores-only Blockbuster faux gaming store right? Basically where all of the larger Blockbusters just underwent a mild redesign/half name-change, right?

There's no such thing as a GameRush that exists independently of a Blockbuster, is there?

Also, if there's a GameRush price cut on games, isn't it the case that the game's price has been cut in simple BBV stores as well?

If that's the case can we just say "Blockbuster" instead of GameRush?
 
Wow, I'd definitely buy Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (W/ Bongos) for $30. Too bad there isn't a GameRush within 50 miles of here, according to their store locator.
 
Yes, GR is blockbuster only. If you haven't checked recently, you might have had one pop up in your area, we went from zero to two in about 3 months.

And while for the most part BBV copies GR prices, I'm pretty certain they don't match the sales. The blockbuster employee I checked out of had to fetch the GR barcodes for the sale.

Same here, the closest gamerush is 2 hours away in Staten Island.
 
hm...is it just those nintendo games? i could go for $15 minish cap, but none of that stuff interests me.
 
It should be noted that no part of GR business plan makes any lick of sense, from store locations to insane game deals.

And yes it's only the list.
 
My GR didn't seem to know anything about this. Can anyone else confirm this?

Are there (Will there be) any signs/advertising for this?
 
i think i've begun to understand gamerushed whacked out trade in an sell deals. with all the trading and selling going on, wouldnt this eliminate the need for blockbuster to buy huge quantities of RENTAL games? they can just take from gamerushes trade stock which for one they probably pay less for buying from gamers rather than publishers and for 2 they'd make even MORE money renting out games purchased from gamers.

I would buy Jungle Beat w/ Bongos for 30 bucks in a heart beat. Too bad there are no GameRushes within 50 miles in REDMOND, WASHINGTON; HOUSTON, TX; or AUSTIN, TX!

Sorry dude, they didnt have it. I just got back from there, wanted to see what they had. and they had nothing. I was gonna get DK:JB for me, but they didnt have it.
 
The problem is that GR for all it's great trade deals is like most stores in having a miniscule Nintendo section. And they haven't even price dropped some games that N has...which is pretty brutal.

Let me know tomorrow afternoon if you're still looking, demi, I'll check my local one at lunch.

I'm going by the store around 12pm eastern. If someone else finds them for you before then, say so. Otherwise I'll grab if available. As I said before, this store is sad for Nintendo items, but I'll try.

I don't think my local store ever had Star Fox for sale. It was a strange set-up. They had a picked over side-cap that says 50% off, and some of the other games mixed into the Nintendo section (which is pitifully stocked, get on this GameRush).
 
Rats, a couple of those pique my interest (Jungle Beat and FF 1 & 2 namely), but the site doesn't list any stores for the Columbus, OH area.

Does this apply to just Blockbuster stores too, or only ones accessorized by a GameRush?

the clerk had no idea what i was talking about when I went in there and didn't look to happy when it rang up for 16 bucks :lol



EDIT: Did anyone like FireRed or LeafGreen? I'm thinkin' I might go back for either that Mario Golf or DKC 2...
 
Remember when Mgs3 dropped to 19.99 like less than a month after it had come out (kb toys deal) I went out and bought like 5 of em and distributed them to the GA loyal......come on sweet KARMA!!!!!!!!! :)

All I have to say is I love GameRush. I had to look for RE4, it was hiding in the Xbox section, and I got the last SFA they had.
