Paranoid might be one of the best albums ever made, period.

There isn't a bad song on the entire album.

My best wishes for Ozzy considering his recent Parkinson's diagnosis.

this album really is the ultimate first Metal record. that opening song, with the sound effects, and the bells, so amazing! Ozzy going out of his mind. so good!

always loved their ethos and approach. Ozzy wrote some fantastic lyrics too. he was making metal music about Satan but he likes the Beatles and is a practicing Christian too. Satan is, after all, a figure in the Christian cosmology.

they have a lot of great albums but this is probably the most special for having come first and sounding so fully formed. happy birthday!

All the "Devil Worship" stuff was just the edgy and cool gimmick. It's like a number of these old crusty metal stars seem to be conservative Republicans nowadays. Kek.

Love Ozzy Sabbath, but I would argue about it being the first metal record. Perhaps the first metal record to broach its Satanic subject matter so openly. But I think Blue Cheers Vinecbus Eruptum is an earlier metal record.

Iommi. The godfather of metal.

Thanks to them we have metal, in general, and also a lot of subgenres that are pure Sabbath emulation such as doom and stoner.

They fucking rock and will always be one of the best bands ever.
