TOKYO A 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of recruiting minors through flyers and introducing them to men for sex, the police said Friday.
The suspect, Yasuhiko Takizawa, 51, has admitted he introduced dozens of girls in the past four years to male acquaintances though telephone dating services, the police said.
Takizawa, a former UFJ Bank employee, was arrested on suspicion of introducing two girls, one aged 12 and the other 14, to two men in November and March for 60,000 and 65,000 yen each. Part of the money was given to the girls "as silence money," the police said. The two men, 29 and 36, have also been arrested.
Takizawa usually charged his customers several tens of thousands of yen for such introductions.
According to the police, Takizawa gave out flyers on weekends on the streets of Shibuya district. The flyers said "Fresh young girls wanted," or "Elementary school pupils also OK," and had a mobile phone number.
UFJ Bank dismissed Takizawa after he was arrested in late April on suspicion of sexually assaulting a girl while he was working in the bank's Kamata loan center in Tokyo. (Kyodo News)
