I'm pretty sure that's an in engine trailer but here's what the developer said in an interview a week or so ago:

The next generation visuals are going to be amazing. You cannot fully appreciate Dark Sector unless it's running in true high resolution. Our technology has come a long way since that video was created. We are also still a long way from finishing Dark Sector, so we still have a lot of technology to create and add to the game. So, if you like what you see now, you will love what you see when we show it off next.

The first trailer was great. Awesome style, and technically beautiful too. I hope this trailer is more impressive (downloading now).

As far as I know they don't of course I can't imagine a game looking like this sitting around without one for too long.

Yeah, I love the style of this game. Whoever did the art should get a big bonus after the game ships.

It looks like THQ is publishing it. And I believe it's for both the X360 and PS3, since it was originally announced for next gen consoles, and both IGN and GameSpot have it on their 360 and PS3 pages, currently the main story on IGN PS3.

Anyway, I thought it was a bit bland when it was first shown, but loved the music. I think it's really starting to shape up though, looking forward to it.

Well, the be fair if they gave dev kits to developers now it would give away the revolutionary feature and you KNOW that'd be leaked about 2 minutes as they discovered it.

Seriously, this thing is pushing a really high amount of geometry and effects around. It's very impressive for a first gen next-gen title.
