Thinking of plunking down some serious cash (well, not so serious) for this baby, do you think Bluray has enough of a future for me to make this investment?

Seriously? WTF is the point?

Its screen is 1280*800.

it has no HDMI out.

It's useless.
Kinda funny.

If it only does 1280 x 800 resolution, then it can only output 720p max.

The website talks about Full 1080 HD, in regards to what Blu-Ray supports, not the laptop.

Pass on this.

So you want to plunk 1698.99 US dollars to play 1080p movies on a 15.4" screen at a 1280x800 resolution?

:lol

I say do it.

We need early adopters to convince everyone else it's a viable platform, and usher in the BR era into mainstream. With you as a pioneer, we will all benefit in sooner price drops, and more supporters. Do it!
