Granted MAME has handled Killer Instinct and the sequel pretty handily for awhile now but Rich Whitehouse, the dev behind the Atari Jaguar BigPEmu, came along and decided it could be better, especially on the MIPS III architecture side. So they wrote and released BigInstinct today, a brand new arcade emulator that is definitely now the de facto way to play both games outside of owning real arcade boards for both games.

Plus I am sure this knowledge will go on to do a lot more cool things in the future. But for KI fans should be a fun day
