One brave woman proud of her long locks has admitted her dirty secret - she has not washed her hair for 11 years.

Penny Weynberg has decided against spending a small fortune on shampoo and conditioner like most women.

The 29-year-old mother-of-two believes hair has the natural ability to clean itself - so she doesn't bother.

I wash my hair daily. Going on for a day without washing drives me crazy :lol damn those hippies

I was misled, I thought this thread was going to be about that woman who posted pictures of her period pad after 2 hours of bleeding recently.

if she cares that little about the hair on her head, imagine what her BUSH must look like!?! SOMEBODY KILL THAT BITCH!

I bet when you get close to her bush, you hear a muffled "MOSES" spoken here and there.

How does hair clean itself?

I don't think I've ever tried to go more than a few days without washing my hair. It seems hard to believe it would suddenly become all silky after those few stinky days.

*shrug* washing long hair isn't that difficult. Mine is down to the small of my back and I wash it every day. I don't see the benefit of not washing your hair, expecially if she gets something goey in it. Maybe she just lets that stay there too... eeiiiuu...

Apparently this is true as washing your hair too often can strip it of its natural oils. So if you leave it for a while it will eventually get to a point where it keeps itself clean.
Not washing your hair doesnt mean that you cant wet it.

Not too sure if you're all just joking though...

Edit: I dont think this applies to people with short hair though.

I've got long hair for a guy and only wash it properly once a month or so. It looks great and nobody cares until I tell them.

I don't know how well this applies to non-black people, but hair tends to be oily when not washed and dirt doesn't stick to it as well. Of course, this doesn't mean you should go for yearswithout a wash...

...And so, the recently formed lice hybrid army drilled a hole in to her skull and happily eviscerated her brains with mechanical efficiency. And that's why you wash your fucking hair.

My goodness... haven't you guys seen those ogrish pics? This girl is lucky though but there's one guy (from the Ogrish site) also didn't wash his hair for years and it turned out maggots and u know, there's actually a food web going on in his head. FUCKING DISGUSTING. He didn't die though.

I dont think everyone understands what "washing your hair" means. Shes just hasnt used shampoo. Which is totally different from not rinsing your hair out, and THAT would be disgusting.

Totally different things people, I mean is it even possible to go for years without water touching your (long) hair?

Dudes, cavemen didn't have shampoo but I don't see you guys complaining about them :lol

What about people with rasta hair?

If we still hung around with cavemen we might have a thing or two to say about their dirty ass ways.

Also, people with rasta hair have dirty hair, plain and simple. At least it looks grunge to me and my friends.

:/

Generally, people with dreadlocks wash their hair daily. What makes it clump is how it's brushed and styled.

i remember some peurto rican girls/ and this one half asian half italian girl i use to date wouldnt wash thier hair but once a week so it would look...wet/slick or whatever.

hard to explain but thier hair always did look great.

but 11years? thats fuckin disgusting.

peace

Bah, I applaud this. We havent washed our hair for propably more than 500 years, if that. I rarely wash my hair too, maybe 2 times a month, if that, and I`m a firm believer that it helps me from getting bald. We aren`t meant to put all kinds of crap in our hair. We haven`t for millions of years.

I`m 32 and still have just as much hair and cover as I did when I was 18. All thanks to not messing too much with nature, I`m sure. :D

Soap is also "messing with nature". :P

Damn, it's called conditioner!! Sure shampooing takes all kinds of crap outa your hair, but Conditioner is there to replace the stuff needed. Damn......

My dad shampoo's his hair twice a day and he still has a full head of great hair. He's 55 BTW (I pray I got his genes in this regard).

Your theory = Owned.

well, we used to live in caves....

I just live in Texas and give advice to people about how to clean themselves.

That's why I'm the Communal Preening and Grooming Advocate.

Hm, so does my dad and he`s 61. Don`t know about his shampoo routines though, but I don`t think they`re too often. Guess I`ll have to find up some more excuses for being a slob. :p

Seriously though, I believe in not messing too much with nature. Everybody gets asthma and dermatatis and other crap these days because we`re living too clean.
